Had read great reviews about this place. Had not ever eaten there before. Decided to try over the holiday weekend. As in introduction, opted for street tacos-ordered 3 different ones. Mic at window where menu is located is broken, with paper sign saying to order at window. I wanted to ask questions while looking at menu-was thinking I'd order more, but decided against it, drove around. Gentleman at window was polite, however didn't speak much English and my Spanish isn't that good. Ordered a chicken, an Al Pastor and a carnitas. I wanted a lime soda. They were out. While waiting, noticed they had Coke in bottles. When he handed out my bag, asked for a Coke too. $3.50 for a small bottle of Coke! I told him NO COKE! and drove away. Got my drink, bigger and better from the $ store across the street for $1.25. Upon opening my little box, was puzzled at what I got. Did he not understand me? WHAT IS THIS? Two of them looked pretty much identical. Couldn't tell which was what. The other looked like meat from a hot beef sandwich. Onion and cilantro over everything, which was fresh. No salsa or anything with. Ate the first one-think it was chicken-little brown chunks-bland-steamed or micro'd tortilla. Some seasoning, but totally lacking. At the 2nd-little darker brown chunks-again, bland, tasted pretty much the same as the other. Mooky tortilla-tasted like wet corn. Last tried the thing that looked like hot beef. ABSOLUTELY ZERO seasoning! AWFUL! This was boiled meat-no salt, no char, no seasoning at all! I keep salt and pepper in my truck. Had to use it to make it palatable enough to actually eat. Disappointing. I've made this same order at 2 other new Mexi places in town and was wowed by the flavors, spice, home made tortillas, char, crispy bits and variety of toppings and tastes. I don't mean to be cruel, but this was sub-par. I've lived in the southwest, eaten the real deal, and am a cook and foodie and made these dishes myself. Are you under new management? I wish you well in your endeavor, however strongly suggest you fix the place up a little, get that mic working and talk to your elders about the spices, marinades, flavors, cooking and prep. All the...
Read moreI haven’t ate here yet. One reason is there are not enough pics of the food? 2nd Reason: The 3 pics that are shared are blurry and you can’t see the food or what it is? 3 rd reason is no delivery. 4th reason: No actual website so people can see what the daily specials are? If any? 5 th reason: Can’t see prices. After all of those reasons I would love to see you make it at that location and maybe get a bigger location down the line so that people could dine in, take out or delivery available. I absolutely LOVE Mexican food and just the fact that you advertise California style got my taste buds watering!!!! Nobody makes Mexican food better than California and Mexico!!!! Most people in Wisconsin have no clue how a taco, burrito ect should taste because they have not ever had what you are advertising. Just a suggestion but you might want to give free samples to get things going. It will be a little expense in the beginning giving samples but once people try it and like it you will make it back. Hoping you have a huge...
Read moreI never leave reviews, but I figured I'd leave this one to warn people for trying and HOPING that these guys will better their business. So, I've decided to try today after reading great reviews on Facebook in one of the groups I'm in. I ordered a chimichanga plate and a chicken sope. The chicken sope was pretty good, but the chimichanga was absolutely horrible. No flavor, soggy and so many bones and pieces of cartilage. I ate the sope and had maybe 5 bites of the chimichanga. About an hour later I started to feel sick. Stomach cramps, feeling like I'm going to vomit and a fever. It all subsided several hours later, but I'm super bummed out about all of this. I paid $23 for my meal including a $4 tip. Never again. The workers weren't very polite, I didn't get my receipt and the place was pretty sketchy. I won't be...
