Zest Bakery and Coffeehouse — Restaurant in Stevens Point

Overall it has great baked goods we have never tried anything else. We had won a $50 gift card and after 1st visit we initially decided to use up the card and never go again. The reason for this was the young lady helping us was more concerned about asking for tip then getting order correct. She ask if we wanted to leave a tip 2 or 3 times. Everything we ordered seem to be $2.50 so order was easy to figure out. I did the math (including tax) in my head before she could input info into iPad. The first 3 times we went there this person was working and everytime she would get count wrong by 2-4 pastries to our advantage but never forgot to ask multiple times about a tip. I was so ticked about being asked about a tip I didn't correct her. Luckily on our 4th vist this person was not working and ever since then we have had a great ordering experience. We always tip and start with 15% then it goes up or down based on service. However being total ignored and asking for a tip gets a zero. Burning some time before a movie at a local Coffee Shop, Zest Coffeehouse and Bakery in the City of Stevens Point Wisconsin. I love this place, they change the theme of their drink board every so often so you can get something different every so often. Right now it is themed after the era I grew up in so maybe there should be a Terry Ingram Latte up there (I'll pitch it to them and see how it goes lol). I told the barista that even though I have never worn one/probably never will i'll try the scrunchie latte and he followed it up with well you never know if you find the right color it might work and I agreed and said yeah I could probably rock one lol (if you don't know me BTW I have a short hair cut and the hair is receeding sadly). If you stop in and the 90's theme is still up I recommend the scrunchie it is really good but if you're more adventurous try one of the other non typical flavors otherwise if the 90's theme is gone I still recommend anything. Creative dishes and drinks, relaxing atmosphere, and friendly staff. It's a great option whether you are just stopping in for a coffee or staying for lunch. They have a fun rotating latte board with themed drinks. Different themes have included Seinfeld themed lattes, friends themed lattes, Monty Python themed lattes, Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter, etc. Their food menu also changes seasonally, but everything on it is absolutely delicious. They try some unique pairings and they are mouth-watering delicious. Zest also has an impressive bakery case showcasing some of the most delicious baked goods in the entire Stevens Point area. They also do event cakes and cookies. We have ordered cakes and cookies from them a number of times, for birthdays, smash cakes, bridal showers, baby showers, etc and have always been so pleased with the end result.
