Edit: Reservation was made under last name Prasadi, booked by my husband. Our party was 3/23/25 at 3 pm—Might want to check the records again. The fact that you are discrediting my experience, as a business owner, speaks volumes!
Highly overpriced party packages for the experience you get. We had our son’s 1st bday here and there are many things to mention that we made the best of being we were locked into a contract, that by the way, the owner does not uphold if it “is bad for business”—her words. We made the owner, Katrina, aware that our guest count would slightly exceed the 30 guest limit for a single party room. In the contract it states that you will have to add on the extra party room in that case. Understandable, being the party rooms are VERY small (misleading pics online show 2 rooms, btw). She would not accommodate the extra room until she knew for sure that no one else would book it, making us wait until the very last minute to accommodate us. Even in knowing our guests would not fit in the small room. This was stressful hoping we would have the necessary space for our party. Mind you, we booked over a month in advance. Still that held no merit even though there were many other time slots for parties the day of ours. We reminded her she would breach her own contract by not adding on the extra space, she did not care. She said we could spend more and get the Mandrill Room—yeah, hundreds of dollars more!
They will go cheap on the decorations if they want. We did a “Wild 1” theme, after seeing the cool animal balloons in the photos. They used a few dollar tree foil balloons, latex balloons and very cheap decor. I brought party favors and party hats that our “exceptional party host” could not be bothered to incorporate into our party & almost went to waste until my husband and I started passing them out minutes before our time was up.
Elizabeth (party host) is seriously overworked. She was visibly exhausted literally running around, setting up, hosting our party alone & running the facility for regular customers all while the owner Katrina was of no help during our party. We barely saw her. So we did not have a great experience with our host or get the great party experience we thought we were paying the hefty price for.
When we came back to use our free day, Katrina did not even bother to ask how the party went or even say goodbye as we walked passed her to leave. This is how she treats guests that literally spend milestones celebrating at her facility?! She also does not have the most pleasant demeanor when speaking to guests.
Money hungry place! They will try add on to your bill or upcharge your guests in any way they can. Our package came with free slurpees for the kids and I caught Elizabeth attempting to charge my guests for them at the cafe. They also charged MANY of my guests for socks without my knowing even though we were told they would have an option of free shoe covers at the time of booking.
Manny the monkey was promised to make an appearance at our party—he never showed and Katrina or Elizabeth never brought it up.
I’m just sad my son’s first birthday memories were spent this way and there is nothing we can do about it now. My guests were shocked at the cost we spent for the experience, basic facility, cheap decor, poor service & horrible business practices we encountered. I will mention that we did not mind paying the price for the ‘advertised experience’, we simply wanted the best for our son, and what we received was...
Read moreSuper clean! I've gone for 8 months now about twice a week with my niece who is 16 months old and someone is always cleaning. Its always good atmosphere, kind employees, they know the baby now and always greet us with a smile. The temperature is good in there, they have lights off mostly for less sensory issues which is great. They add toys here and there. They go around cleaning soiled toys and organizing play areas. They have one small area for babies up to 24 months. Then a bigger one for toddlers with 2 slides, 3 play kitchens, play store, car jeep slide, small house, and tons of comfy benches for parents to sit on and put your bags down throughout the place. They have 2 private and gorgeous nursing rooms where you can change diapers on a table and sit to feed your kid. Its carpeted so you can't wear shoes, must wear socks. If you forget socks they sell them at a reasonable price of $1 a pair. The hand washing stations are outside the bathroom stalls which is great. They have about 5 or 6 bathrooms and even a small ladder thing for toddlers to wash hands on own. They have a few small tables around their cafe and you sit there to eat. Food options include pretzels, slushies, nachos, hotdogs, healthy apple sauce, fruit, water bottles, starbucks cold coffee, etc. The owner listens to feedback as well. Also the baby area if it could be a tad larger that would be nice so parents could sit with the kids, but as it is now its been nice. They have side benches for reserved tables and party rooms in the middle. They have a larger play area for the bigger kids in the front and they love it! Its like a huge treehouse. Lots of parking in the plaza shared with Rubios, BJ's, etc. Not pet friendly, obviously. They seem to offer deals daily on their Instagram too which is great! Right now its a dollar off the food if you post. The owner was telling me they set this place up because they were tired that Stockton had some dirty places that didn't come thru for parties, etc. She mentioned they have their party deals with David;s pizza and they do the decorating and everything for you. They wanted a clean, respectful, honest place for their kids here in Stockton and they succeeded. I got the monthly memebership and we go as often as we want for as long as we want. It lasts 30 days from the day you get...
Read moreMonkeyin Around 10/10. I had my son’s 2nd birthday party there not that long ago and let me just say i’ll most likely be throwing another birthday party there again!
When i say it was so relaxing to just arrive and not have to worry about setting up, giving my guest their plates of food, having to gather all the kids and adults for the cake or even worry about cleaning up, that should say a lot. Katrina, Elizabeth and the team went above and beyond with everything. They contacted me prior to the party to confirm theme of choice, pizza and drinks which gave me peace of mind. When we arrived the day of the party all i had to do was watch my kid play and run around with his cousins. Once we entered the party room all the kids were in awe of the decor and the adults were so amazed of how cute the space was set up and organized. Did i mentioned they even brought in a photo-booth prop with his theme and name for photos. So cute!
My son enjoyed his party. There was so much playing and running around involved. There’s about 3 slides, a big indoor tree house. A section with 2 play houses, play kitchen and even a mini diner booth with a kitchen on the other side of it!
And the BEST part of it all was that all kids fell asleep on the way home! That was a win for every parent who attended. We know how it can get with little ones and gloomy weather and not being to drain all that energy out of them.
Once again, thank you to everyone at Monkeyin Around for making the party an...
