Today 5/19/2025, on 5/18/2025 at 7:44pm We called the Beijing buffet at 1025 w robinhood drive in Stockton, ca 95207 and asked what time they close they respond 9pm so we start to go from eight mile road and arrived at 8:05pm by the time we paid and get the table it was 8:15pm then we go to the raw food second pick up some beef and waited in line for them to cook by the time they done cooking and we return to the table it was 8:30pm, once we finish our beef and trying to get more food which 8:45pm and found out the raw food section was empty and cleaned up then the cooked food section has nothing all left over with just little bit not even enough for the whole dish, and the soup also empty out, and we try to couple pieces of seafood and some cookies try to fill up our stomach then return to our table which was 8:50 pm to enjoy the food and also talked to the lady at the cashier it’s not 9pm yet why the food all cleaned up and empty she respond we close at 9pm and the food will empty 3 minutes before that and also said all our customer knew above this? I respond it’s not even 8:55pm and she just kept quiet and those worker also start dumping soap and water on the floor and start cleaning making us not feel comfortable to eat then another 5 minutes a lady came with a Togo box and ask us to pack up the rest of the food and leave as they are closed, I was what? Doesn’t it has at least two hours to enjoy the food at most buffet restaurant? From the beginning of entering this restaurant to the time we asked to leave not even 50 minutes, if you said you close at 9pm you should expect customer stay until at least 9:30pm, we paid for coming to enjoy our dinner not being treat like a homeless, also by the time we got home all three of us ran to the bathroom right the way, until this morning I still had the diarrhea, I will contact the California department of consumer affairs, the better business bureau and the San Joaquin county environmental health department as when I tried the ice cream from their machine, there was a paper napkin inside the ice cream. The food properly not safe to eat that’s why we got diarrhea. For this kind of service and the dirty food was served to the customer, this place need to be close for the health and safety of their future customers. One thing I forgot the take the receipt for proof of coming but I’m sure that if the consumer affairs or the San Joaquin health department require they have to show their surveillance video to proof that we were there at the date and time I was mentioned, If not my car cam also recorded the time and date we arrived this place which will match our phone called date and time shown in the attached photos with our comment as proof of we did came...

No Bueno‼️

Both my son and I had to hit the TOILET within 45 minutes after eating at this restaurant tonight.

Food poisoning‼️

Food been sitting there too long. Improper temperatures!

Never again‼️👎🏻 ———————- Update: Wednesday, October 18, 2023 4 PM

I broke my own rule. We went back here today at 4 PM. No Bueno! Rule number one..,only go to a buffet during peak rush hours to ensure a constant supply of hot food! That was not the case today.

If you want three times the buffet for the same price drive a few minutes to Tracy and go to:

Gohan A.Y.C.E Buffet, 3200 Naglee Rd Ste 600, Tracy, CA 95304

It’s called a premium buffet for a reason. We’ve been there once and are looking forward to going back. We are not looking forward to returning to Beijing buffet. We’ve given them a couple of chances and it just hasn’t happened. $53 is too much money for two people for a mediocre buffet. They used to have nice fat marinated crab legs now they have skinny little ones that I didn’t even try. It’s not worth the effort to try to get meat out of them. Three stars is probably generous. Nice remodel of hometown buffet. Nice ambience. They strive to keep the place clean. Good background music. That’s pretty much what the three stars are for. The food…mediocre. We were there at 4 PM…probably leftovers from lunch crowd. Food needs to be REFRESHED especially at $26 per person for dinner‼️ My son gave it 2 1/2 stars.

They had a decent assortment of food. The obligatory sushi, some kind of a Mongolian grill, an assortment of Chinese food, fried chicken wings, desserts, fruits. We just did not feel it was worth $26 ‼️

They were pretty busy. I don’t know if people were there for the first time or they’re actually returning.

It’s probably a good addition for the Stockton restaurant scene. And it sure beats the empty the storefront were Hometown used to be. I don’t think we...

Wow, what a great find! We randomly found this place and we will definitely be back.

There is a pretty decent size lot so parking was easy. We came Saturday around 6:15 pm.

There was a line to get in, but only about 5 people so it did not take too long. It was about $28 per adult which includes beverages. You pay and then the host takes you to your table.

There is a large variety of food to choose from. Sushi bar, hot station where they cook the entree for you, cold crab legs, shrimp, rice, chow mein, different fish dishes, different chicken dishes, pot stickers, egg rolls, clams, pizza, french fries and more. Everyone can find something to eat.

For dessert they have cookies, small cakes, ice cream and fruit.

Beverages include soda, ice tea, hot tea and coffee.

Very clean, food was constantly being refilled and people were always cleaning up tables. It was pretty busy but I think they have enough employees and they are doing things right!

The only hiccup we had was when we went to get food, a couple with a small baby had sat at our table. However our receipt was the only one on the table. Since the host seats you, I found it weird that they were sitting at our table. When we came back, they said sorry and moved to the table next to us. However when the people that were sitting there came back they still could not produce a receipt. I am wondering if they did not pay and were tying to eat. The did sit at a table and started eating so I am really not sure what happened.

Besides that this was a great...

This restaurant falls short, even by Chinese buffet standards. Given Stockton's limited dining options, I was surprised by its 4+ star rating on Google Maps. The selection was noticeably smaller compared to other buffets, and the raw sushi appeared stale, which deterred me from trying it. The soups were overly diluted, lacking depth in flavor. While crab legs were included in the offering, they were underwhelming in quality. At $25.99 per adult for dinner, the pricing felt unjustified, even with drinks included. The restaurant’s lighting comprised of red, green, and yellow hues created an uncomfortably dim atmosphere. While this may have been intended to set a mood, it felt out of place for a casual buffet setting, making it difficult to even see the food on my plate (The picture of crab legs can tell you how bad it was) Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I would not consider returning.

Overall this place has potential & can be a big success if 2 things were to change; variety & flavor. That would make this my go to Buffett, but before that, I’ll wait awhile to try this place again 😅 Can improve on: Either lower the price to justify the variety of food or add more value. I.e Hot or boiled style crawfish, more sashimi like octopus, tuna, oysters, & better deserts. Then there is the flavor portion; which is a hit or miss (they are new so it’s some what understandable). Some foods are bland & some are overly salted, like the crab legs. CON:: -Bland foods -Limited variety vs Price -Very salty crab legs (almost inedible) -cold crawfish? (Who thought of this, it tastes way too gamy) -Lighting at some of the tables are aesthetic, but make the food looked unappetizing Pros -New & clean -Good layout -Friendly staff -Cleanup is fast
