Osborn's Jewelry Repair — Attraction in Sulphur Springs

I had work done on my engagement ring, and did NOT get the same center diamond back. I know this for a fact, because I have an appraisal which clearly describes the original stone, which happens to include the etching which was on the girdle of the diamond. (The name of the store, and the date.) Convinced they had been switched, I had the ring checked (although not immediately) by the same jeweler who had done the original appraisal, and he agrees that it is NOT the same diamond. Smaller in size, lesser quality, and NO etching on the girdle of the diamond, which conclusively proves it was switched. I personally went to the business owner (who told me she does her own work) and she simply said she had never switched a stone. She offered absolutely no apology/regrets, possible solutions, etc. There was no regard for the extreme emotional loss I have suffered as a result of this, and I was treated in a completely unprofessional manner. She actually told me that there was no way to prove that the stone currently in my ring is the one she worked on, and even went so far as to imply that I may be unethical, and had switched them out myself. All while looking me squarely in the eye. Highly recommend AGAINST using this business....unless you don't care about your original stone, or it's sentimental value. NOT a reputable, honest business. AND....if she truly is honest, then she should have investigated further, and taken the matter to the son....who could have been the thief. She wouldn't even admit there there could be a problem. Terrible...
