I am NOT a fan of BBQ. I grew up this way my whole life. Very seldomly do I ever want to eat it. Happened to have a craving for some and decided on this place. I absolutely loved it ♥️ anytime I get a craving, this is the place I go~ staff is super friendly, food is on point, worth the visit especially if you happen to enjoy southern comfort food. Edit: returned for something different. Previously had the pulled brisket, and it was phenomenal. This time around got the chicken. A bit too salty, not necessary with the extra pickles because of that. Usually get jalapenos, but again because of the salt it's not as appetizing as it could be with that combo. I've also gotten the broccoli cheese casserole a few times and loved it. This time around, it tastes and smells different. Maybe sour cream(?) either or it's a deterrent. It was already flavorful before the change so adding it is unnecessary stimulants/fat calories that isn't necessary. Sure, I feel a little more full, but it also is deterring for comfort food as it's all too much when comfort food already has more than enough salt and fat where adding isn't necessary. So not sure if they changed chefs, tried being more innovative with their recipes, or what on that. I just know it really knocked off a couple of stars because it just brought be back to why I don't usually like BBQ. Too much salt/fats and not enough considered health factors that would actually help make it more worth the 💰 if I come back, definitely getting the chicken again, and if I consider the casserole I'm definitely inquiring beforehand to understand what's...
Read moreIt was my first visit to this delicious barbecue restaurant, however... it will NOT be my last. The experience was wonderful. Great food, and EXCELLENT customer service, demands a revisit. My senior mom and I had the pleasure of dining here a few weeks ago. Being "East Texas" girls, we're frequently in search of really good barbecue. Well...we found a great location that's worth bragging about in this one. Mom and I both had the rib plate with a tasty choice of two vegetables. I chose the green beans and coleslaw. Wow...."Hats Off" to the PIT MASTER of the ribs, and the cook for the veggies. The meal truly made our day. The ribs with a tasty blend of spices for the dry rub was perfect! No barbecue sauce required!! However, if that's your choice, the sauce is excellent too. The dining environment was pleasant and kid friendly, and the price point was good. I'll definitely dine here again the next time...
Read moreI ordered Mac n cheese, baked beans, potato salad, broccoli cheese rice casserole and a baked potato. The Mac n cheese was elbow noodles and runny cheese sauce literally. The broccoli cheese rice casserole was the worst that I had ever tasted. I actually came back 30 minutes later because they were out of it and I wanted to try it. What a disappointment. Please search the internet for a recipe. The potato salad and baked beans were decent but baby let me tell you about this baked potato. I opened the box and it was a hard potato. No butter, no cheese, no sour cream. I believe the 4.4 rating that they have is way too generous. However, the staff was really nice. Unfortunately I am a vegetarian so I am unable to give any review of...
