My (2) sisters, niece and I all stopped here on a busy Friday night, Feb 3rd....It was very busy (a bus load of school children had also arrived when we did) but we did not have to wait long for a table. Our waiter was, Austin and I must say he was THE BEST, very attentive and accommodating to us all. However, we were told toward the end of our meal that they did not have any more "tea" to give us refills. Poor Austin apologized and offered to get us anything else he had. Of course, a restaurant running out of "TEA" at any time is terrible. I asked if anyone could run to a local store and get more tea and I was told that they actually had tea but the kitchen just didn't want to make anymore because it was getting close to closing time. I must say I was shocked by this as the restaurant was still pretty full with patrons eating, most of which were adults. This is the only reason I gave this 3 stars.... Austin deserves 10 stars, and the food was very good. But this whole "tea" situation really irked me. Since when is "tea" such an issue and such a decision is made by the kitchen. I will go back to this place because of Austin and no other reason. To the manager on duty shame on you! I hope this comment gets to the owner as well. TO THE OWNER (Mr Trollinger, I called a few days later and was told your name): You definitely have a good food establishment but you need to make sure your on duty manager does a much better job at making such decisions. I believe that the restaurant still had about 30 minutes...
Read moreMy husband and eat here on December 1 2023. We have eaten here many times here many times with family as well. Today, I ordered lunch fajitas. I requested that my onions and bell peppers to be grilled until tender, not crunchy. When they were delivered they were BURNT! I tied one bite and couldn't eat them. We flagged waitress over. She asked how much meat I eat out it. I told her 1 strip of meat. She cop attitude and gave me order instructions. I told her, I couldn't eat it is was burnt and tough. She acted disgusted and took plate and dropped it hard behind me on end cap right behind me. I told her just bring me something else and I would pay for it. She disappeared for a long time. By the time the new food arrives, my husband is through eating. I asked for several things to go, but she hatefully walked off. To fill tea that needed to make to go as well as containers for food, hot sauce, and chips and our ticket. She heard me and kept walking. Took her again a long time to come back. Also, when leaving I pointed out to cashier that the waitress was very rude. He just stares and acts like he could not speak or understand English with no reply. He obviously knew I had a complaint. I am very disappointed in our food...
Read moreThis is an easy 5 star. Me and hubby stopped by for lunch here when we were staying the night at Sulphur Springs and I was told that this is the BEST restaurant in the town.
We were immediately greeted with a bowl full of chips and tasty salsa. Our server kept refilling the salsa from a jug she was carrying around. She was very attentive and checked on us quite often.
I order the spicy beef chimichanga and hubby got the combination platter with crispy beef tacos, cheese enchiladas and a pork tamale. They were all exceptionally good. My favorite was their chili con carne sauce as well as the seasoned beef which was perfectly seasoned.
Next time we are in town, will definitely be coming back for the delicious food again and...
