ALDI — Attraction in Sumter

Carol (name on receipt), the cashier who was an older white woman, was awfully rude. She threw our items in our cart, and wouldn’t allow us to transfer our items and give her a different cart. We had three small children with us, one of which was strapped into the cart. There were several carts available at the many unopened registers. We were going to transfer the items in the store. If the store policy is that a cart stay at an open register at all times, that’s fine; however, we had a few cents shy of $200 worth of groceries and three small children. She filled the cart next to her register in a way in which we could NOT put the infant in the cart. After realizing this, she threw the items at the top of the cart into the main area. We were told to hurry up and get the infant out of the cart instead of simply allowing us to place one of the readily available empty carts by the open register until we were able to remove the infant or transfer the items. Carol not only spoke to us in a condescending manner while throwing our items and rushing us, she embarrassed us and showed zero humanity. This is why I do not shop at Aldi’s. This will be the first and last time. I bought 5 packs of salmon which the price was extremely good for salmon. Salmon prices are high, but these prices from Aldi’s were good. Low prices low quality. This is the frozen wild caught salmon. The color is almost white, the texture was like sticky slime, and it was falling apart with not a good amount of flesh to the skin. I threw this out, I will not be eating this. I have two more packs that I will throw out. Don’t shop at aldi’s. All of you who say it’s a nice place to shop are highly delusional. It’s only nice to shop at Aldi’s because the food is cheap. This is the lowest quality of food I’ve ever seen. Pesticide, low budget, low quality of food. Ppl should never eat like this. I wouldn’t feed this to my dog that’s how bad it is. Love Aldis, great store, lots of varieties and many new items to try. Shop here all the time but today was not a good day in there.

Meat was on a push cart just in the middle of the isle getting hot and sweating. Meat shelves were almost empty.

My cashier LaShawn (name on receipt), if she doesnt like her job or people get her out of there. She tries to check you out fast but she mishandles the groceries just throws them down in the basket one of my items a Brekki breakfast cup was busted open. Even though I said "Hello how are you today?" She just mad mugged me, didnt speak or acknowledge me. She just kept throwing my groceries in the cart.

This is not my first experience with her, she either doesn't like people or her job but as I was in the line waiting my turn it was her same attitude with each shopper.
