The Thai House: A Culinary Gem
Having journeyed from coast to coast across this vast country, I can confidently declare that nowhere has surpassed the culinary delight that is The Thai House. Nestled in a quaint corner, this restaurant consistently delivers an experience that tantalizes the senses and warms the heart.
The chefs at The Thai House are nothing short of magicians, crafting dishes that are both visually stunning and incredibly flavorful. Their dedication to authenticity is evident in every bite, making each meal a genuine Thai experience. For those with dietary preferences, their vegan options are exemplary, showcasing creativity and a deep understanding of flavors that cater to all palates.
Sushi lovers will find themselves in heaven with the impeccable selection available. Each piece is a testament to the chefs' skill and the freshness of the ingredients. However, my personal favorite is the Pad Kee Maw. This dish, with its perfectly balanced spices and textures, exemplifies the culinary mastery found at The Thai House.
For those who crave a true spicy adventure, the option to make your order Thai hot is a game-changer. Unlike many places that shy away from real heat, The Thai House embraces it, providing a spice level that will satisfy even the most ardent chili enthusiasts.
Every visit to The Thai House is a journey back to the heart of Thailand, a reminder of the vibrant and complex flavors that define its cuisine. If you seek authenticity, unparalleled taste, and a dining experience that never disappoints, look no further than...
Read moreThai House used to be my husband and mine's favorite restaurant in Sumter and was the best I had eaten since living in SC and we have ate there for years but the last 4 times we've ate from there we were increasingly disappointed. We picked up takeout four nights ago for dinner and my husband, who usually eats all of his, could barely put a dent in it because his was so nasty. He only liked the plain white rice that came with it. We both ate mine only after I had to add to it because honestly I wouldn't have been able to eat it if I didn't put something on it. Even with me doing that it was still barely edible and did not have any of the flavors it should've in the beginning. I don't know if there is a new person cooking because our food has been dry and tasteless lately. Even people who we introduced to the restaurant now refuse to return because of burnt, scorched and dry tasteless food and rude behavior when brought to their attention. After this last time we will no longer eat there either. It's very sad that what was once such a great place to eat has gone down to be so horribly bad and are now losing all their loyal customers. I will not recommend Thai House Restaurant and Sushi Bar to...
Read moreIf you like flavorful food and fresh sushi, Thai House is the place for you! We started with the Tai Tea. It was creamy and delicious. For appetizers, we tried the spring rolls and the chicken Gyoza. The spring rolls were delicious and stuffed to the brim with veggies. The Gyoza were perfect- lightly fried on the bottom and full of flavor. The dipping sauce was the icing on the cake. The sushi combo came with Miso soup. The soup was chalk full of onions, seaweed, and pieces of tofu. The broth was much tastier than others we've tried; You could taste the fresh herbs. The sushi combo came with 8 pieces of California roll, 6 pieces of Nigiri, and 8 pieces of Sashimi. Everything was perfectly chilled and delicious. The variety of seafood pieces was great. The last thing we tried was the potato, carrot, and onion yellow curry with shrimp. The flavor of the curry was complex and herby, with just the right amount of heat. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the shrimp. The curry was served with a bowl of sticky rice. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We would...
