Great day to all. Today my wife and I had the pleasure of checking this place out. I strapped on my colombian outfit and hat ready to chill, smoke and relax.
Now I will say there are quite a few goods and bads. However, it's a newer place and they have plenty of growth potential. I'm going to start with the downs.
To start, bartender seems a little green. Never have I seen Jin put in such a small glass with a scotch cube and maybe a dash of sprite. The drink should be in a tall glass on regular ice. Might be they just never make the drink but I am unsure. We only had the one drink each and ginger ale.
Biggest and most irritating thing I encountered was trying to get a cigar there.i waited at least 20 minutes for 3 guys in front of me to get their cigars. It's not an open humidor, the person or persons in a group go in and you wait in line to go. Big big big downside. So waited about 20, I literally walked in and back out in 10 seconds.
Atmosphere is kind of mixed. Couldn't hear any of the football games, just the air extractor. No music. Nothing. Finally about mid cigar they turned volume up for the games. Now, honestly I really feel some blues or jazz should have been playing. A few of us with our hats, smoke and drink ready to chill but no blues. That definitely made me blue.
Service is slow, there was only 2 people. This is iffy because you shouldn't be going to a cigar lounge to rush. It's supposed to be chill and relaxed.
That wraps the bads. Good side, if you are into games like uno, checkers, and dominoes they have that their. Kind of iffy because dominoes is too loud for such a small area.
They have food, no idea what as I never seen a menu. Just saw a couple people getting wings. So there is a plus.
You can tell for the most part that it is a relaxed atmosphere. (Get some light jazz or blues going)
Price for drinks and cigar was good. I will state that we got a military discount which knocked a couple bucks off. 2 alcoholic beverages, 1 soda, 1 cigar 14 bucks.
The 2 people working their were very friendly. You can tell they try to keep things clean as the gentleman had gloves on at all times. Downside to that, pretty sure the gloves were never changed.
Lots of potential for a little place. Look forward to seeing how it becomes. I really hope it doesn't become the same Ole sumter watering whole that is garbage.
Best of luck...
Read moreI am regretting we ever found this place! But in a good way! When we are in Sumter we always stop. It was Father’s Day weekend so I took the Baehubs to pick out a new cigar. He loves Padrons so they suggested this Escobar cigar and said it was comparable or better than the Padron. We got an Escobar and a Padron paid $72 but I was happy we found some nice ones for Father’s Day! . Anyway he says that Escobar is the best cigar he has ever smoked! I do my due diligence because I need that one added to the list. I typically buy all his cigars so now we have a new one. Little did I know that those Escobar cigars are quite special and you cannot find them everywhere! I applaud the owners s of the Tobbaconist. Thank you for offering those special high quality cigars that can’t be found everywhere. We will always be your customers! Don’t walk run if you are an adventurous smoker who likes the...
