@Steve Farr Regarding your recent review, I am the “very rude” girl at the cash register that took care of you. I was not rude to you in person at the register or over the phone. In fact, the owner/manager and my coworkers stated that I handled this situation very well. I was very nice throughout the transaction, even when you became upset and acted rudely regarding the price of sauce and asked to speak to the manager. When he also stated that I had the correct price and it’s always been 0.75 cents for an extra sauce, you continued to complain and aggressively asked if I could open up your box to show you the food. Although this was somewhat an odd request, I continued to open your box, to which you responded “ok that’s fine”. You left, and called back later complaining the the food was burnt and it was not correct. I double checked the order I placed for you and the receipts when you accused me of overcharging you stating that “sauce shouldn’t cost that much”. I never yelled at any other customer on the phone or at the counter and have never/would never do this. Although the conversation with another customer is none of your concern, I handled this transaction appropriately as well with no yelling involved. In fact, when there was a customer that spoke to you saying “you should just pay the amount you owe” you responded by telling him to “butt out of it”. When I offered for you to come back to see how we could fix this, you responded with “don’t even go there”. As I continued to discuss the situation with you in an appropriate manner, you then hung up on me. Please do not mistake me defending myself over the phone in a calm and respectful manner- while attempting to resolve your complaints- as rudeness. I started here at 16 years old and have worked in multiple establishments as a server since then, and I’ve learned not to tolerate rude behavior toward my coworkers and/or myself. Thank you and...
Read moreI have been here in the past was good. Got served a house salad with no dressing like at all. When I asked for some the guy didn't ask what kind comes back with ranch. I asked do you have the ginger dressing? He said no but he could get me some picked ginger... no I don't want to put pickled ginger slices on my dry salad that makes no sense not close. Our sushi came out after our meal. Wasn't super busy but the waiter seemed like he was stoned or just slow. We sat for a bit with nobody coming. Waiting to see if we could get a box. Finally had to holler for the guy to come over to get a to go. He checked tables around us but never came back to us. Not impressed. Sushi was good habachi was ok. Meat good but bland veggies apparently got all the salt the meat was missing. Considering the amount spend kinda expect a little better staffing. I wouldn't suggest them anymore after this. Never been served a salad with no dressing before nor been told ranch was only option I wouldn't have ordered it as I don't like ranch that much. But the guy didn't seem to care didn't ask if ranch was ok just walked away. With the habachi being high and low with food prep I wouldn't come back. It's a lot of money to spend on the only thing correct was the sushi and sweet tea. Not sure on staff training but I doubt I'll be back. Quality has gone down and staff did as well that's a lose...
Read moreTo be honest you get what you pay for here. The hibachi was $5 and had incredibly dry chicken, burnt and somehow still stiff broccoli, and the carrots oddly tasted like sweet potatoes. It took like 30+ minutes for it to come out. The water had a bad taste. The sushi had a tiny amount of fish in it and the crab is the cheap imitation kind. I would still recommend the sushi over anything else on the menu, which can be misleading. For example, the clear house soup is described to be a scallion and mushroom soup, which I have had before elsewhere. So when it finally came 20ish minutes later I was surprised to see it was actually a miso soup, which is much different than a “clear” soup, with a few slivers of mushrooms and tofu that had odd cracks in it like maybe it was over or under cooked. They had a kid eating Dominos in the kitchen. I left the restaurant worried I may be sick later from food poisoning or something. I honestly can’t believe this place has so many 5 star reviews but maybe this place is just the best Sumpter has to offer?...
