We went to mattress firm today at the Sumter, SC location. We were wanting to upgrade our mattress but we weren't sure we could afford to walk out with one today and we were planning on waiting until we got our taxes back. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by James. He was so nice and helpful and even offered our two year old a water and a snack while we shopped around. He was patient with my husband and I as we laid on 5 or 6 mattresses. We even started back at the beginning and narrowed them down on by one until we found the right one for us and he didn't show an ounce of irritation towards us. He knew a lot about every mattress we tried and he was able to answer all my questions. And believe me I had a ton of them. When it came to finance options, he broke them down for us and gave us several different quotes so we could find the payment plan that worked for us. And most importantly he made us feel comfortable and was an absolute delight to work with. Needless to say my husband and I walked out with a new mattress set to be relieved this coming Friday. We are so happy with James' customer service we will be coming back to mattress firm when we update our guest room. I HIGHLY recommend James at mattress firm in Sumter if you are looking to buy a new mattress.

Read moreTried out mattress and Dream Cloud in the store was prefect. To get a 30 day return we had to buy a mattress cover. Cost $100.00. After 2 weeks I wanted to return the hardest mattress I have every laid on. Was told have to wait the 30 days. Now when we tried in the store it was soft and very comfortable. I even had Steve move around and felt nothing. So anyway come to find out when you trade the mattress well the 30 day option is not an option. So we felt what if the same thing happen with second like the first. So needless say still go the same mattress. We eventually will replace it and I grant you will not return there. Oh yeah they said after 30 day it will soften up and to lay on it is painful on back, hip. My thought is they said the mattress we tried in the store been on the floor for 2 years. This is crazy. Just because people go lay on it for what under 5 minutes and it got that soft and we have laid on that every night since the 4 or 5 of May and it is still uncomfortable. I would not recommend this store to anyone. I get woken up at least 3 times a night because Steve moving. Why he moves so much? He hurts and has to reposition. So...
Read moreWe were led to believe we could exchange the mattress and pay an $80 delivery fee, or return all all for full refund. Full refund was stressed. It was all written down. The mattress hurt our backs horribly so we chose to return. They said we still have the pay 20% of mattress plus the base because it can’t be refunded. When we explained that we were told otherwise and the paperwork says we can return it, they said the best they could do was knock some of the cost off. So we would be left paying around $600 for something we cannot use at all. We spoke to customer service and they said they can’t intervene and send us to corporate, who is looking into it and explained they might use this as a teaching opportunity for the region. I feel like I have been conned into all of this. Be careful, this company will try their best to rip you off.
