Absolutely wonderful experience and fantastic food! Me and my family have been to Chinese buffets all throughout the US and Fumi is by far my favorite so far!
BLUF: Dang good food, great waitstaff and overall staff, clean, and great price! 10/10 so recommend and will definitely be coming back!
Here are some of the highlights: -Even on a busy day (Father’s Day) with 100+ people, we were able to get our drinks within five minutes of being seated. -Our waitstaff paid attention to if we we were using our old plates to discard things such as crawfish parts and muscle shells, and would take the ones we weren’t using but leave the ones we used as a discard pile -The food was fresh! And by fresh I mean there was none of the meat had rubbery feeling like meat had been sitting under a hot light for a while, the vegetables were not wilted or limp, and there was always a staff member checking the food to see what was low and replacing food before it was out! I could tell the green beans were fresh as well as they were not limp and dry, and had a nice crunch but still soft and tender on the inside! -There was a wide variety of food, from classic lomein and Singapore rice noodles (not spicy) to bakes fish and apple pie! There was also a hibachi style grill and sushi bar if you wanted something outside of buffet style food! -The inside was clean and when customers left, tables were cleared immediately and wiped down for those who were waiting. -When we were done eating, there was essentially no wait for our ticket. -All of the staff was very friendly despite the chaos going on inside being a full house!
Additionally, I watched a waitress get yelled at by a child for not bringing them their drink right away (probably two minutes after asking), and she handled it with such grace and wasn’t even the same waitress that the child asked a refill from. Props to her for handling the situation so well (and props to mom for saying something and making the kid...
Read moreI decided to take my wife and I two girls out for dinner and decided to go to the new FUMI Restaurant . The Weight staff was kind, courteous and professional, but at the end when I receive the bill, I was not expecting what I paid, for. I didn’t look at the bill I walk straight to the counter to pay the bill when the cashier told me that my total was $70.37, I said, well how is that possible? For two adults, the price was $16.99 for myself and my wife, for my two girls who are six and 10 years old. The price was $10 each which came up to $19.98 total. I was also charged for four drinks that total $10.60, my subtotal came out to be $64.56 plus tax which equals $5.81 plus I tip a waitress five dollars for her kindness and her courteousness. So therefore my total was $70.37 I had no idea that I was going to pay so much for a night out at a Chinese buffet restaurant. I am totally displeased and dissatisfied with my total price. I expected to pay no more than $40 at most. I won’t be eating here again and it’s not because of the food or the service but that price was totally outrageous for a family of four If I would’ve knew that much, I would’ve went to Logan steakhouse . As I was leaving another family of four was walking in and they asked me how is it? I said I just paid these people $70.37 and it was like for what for your food and I said yes they said oh no, turned around and get back in the car, this will be the last time I dime there because it is very...
Read moreProfiling Military Service Members and their Families
If you present your military IDs, check your receipt! The individual at the front door will check everyone’s military ID and the discount will be on the receipt. Next the waitress will verify your receipt at the table. No sooner than you can say, “ Wonton soup!” An older Asian female will check behind the waitress and quickly chastises the waitress. The older Asian woman will check your military ids at the table. The older Asian woman will report your table to the Asian male manager, who then is amazed that everyone at the table has a military id. The Asian Male manager even questioned my entire table about their military ids even after we all presented our military ids to him for the third time. I do not think they are selling fake military ids on Alibaba’s website.
This has occurred twice on two separate occasions by the same older Asian woman and Asian male manager. The individuals at the front door, who generate the bill are not an issue and will quickly verify your military ids.
The shenanigans do not start until the older Asian woman and Asian male manager realize that your group is eating into their profits.
Check your receipts before you leave the establishment! They want your money, but have no respect for military service members or...
