GameStop — Attraction in Susquehanna Township

Games Stop Review Once I had some time to breathe and get my thoughts together, this is a HUGE 0 out of 5 star review. After this whole pre-order to the Spider-Man PS5 console, it has left me with such a bad taste in my mouth in regards to Game Stop. I missed the original Spider-Man PS5 pre-order due to being at work, as well as the pre-orders in store around me (Carlisle, Camp Hill, and Mechanicsburg/Silver Spring). So I started calling around during my lunch and finally found Union Deposit still having all 5 pre-orders available. I drove from Chambersburg to the Union Deposit store and placed my $50 deposit, and was told that my console would be released on September 8/9th.

September 8th came around and I still had not gotten a call or any notification of the console being ready to be picked up, so I called the Union Deposit store to be told that my $50 deposit was available to be picked up. The employee proceeded to tell me that it had been 3 weeks since the console had been released and that my console was sold to someone else. When asked why no one had reached out to me to alert me of the console being available to be picked up, I was told that the store only keeps pre-ordered consoles for 2-3 days after release, before they are able to be sold to another customer. When I asked to speak to the manager in regards to the lack of communication, the employee informed me that he could not put the manager on the phone, since they were busy with another customer. He repeated that once I got to the store, they’d have my $50 to give back to me, and disconnected the call.

There was absolutely no communication from the Union Deposit store in regards to this console. Then to have the console sold out from underneath me, and finally be treated like I’m in the wrong from the employee for not showing up for the console is appalling.

I called the store prior to arriving to pick up 2 new playstaion 5 digital versions. The woman that answered the phone said she had 2 in stock and multiple disc versions. I show up there 15 mins later and the woman behind the counter gave my friend and I the stank face as soon as we walked in the door. I engaged the blue or green haired woman and said hi I'm here to pick up the ps5's I just called to about. She proceeded to lie to me and said someone came in and bought them before I arrived. I called another store to verify they had them in stock at the union depot rd location in Harrisburg pa after I left and they still had them in stock!!! So because she didn't like me as a person she decided to turn business away from a company that that provides her with work and a paycheck.. Gamestop will never get another dollar from me. Went to this location today on a Sunday. Google and the Gamestop website both state the store opens at 11am. The storefront lists the store as opening at Noon. After waiting around for the store to open the women working was rude. We had placed an online order and were only stopping in to pick it up. We told her our full name and nickname that the order could be under and she responded with " Do you not know your name?".
