Glamour Nails Studio — Attraction in Swatara Township

Worse place EVER!! One of the ladies, (Thu was her name, she wears glasses) was doing my cousins nails. Prior to her starting her nails, we showed her a picture of what she wanted done. Side note: my cousin doesn’t speak English well so I was translating for her. My friend and I stepped aside for about 20 minutes and when we came back, she had painted her nails a completely different color then the picture. When I asked my cousin if that was the color she wanted, she said no but she already started it.

I told Thu that that wasn’t the color she wanted and that we had showed her the color she wanted before even starting. She argued back and said, “I asked her if the color was okay and she said yes.”

Anyways, unfortunately that was the least of our problems. After she was done, my cousin asked me to ask her if she could take off the access gel that was on the side of her thumbs from the nail. So I asked Thu if she could remove it and she said, “No, it’s not my fault, she probably moved her thumb.” I told her that I wasn’t blaming her for it but if she could help take it off. She grabbed my cousins hand to look at it and kept mumbling. I grabbed my cousins hand and said, “you know what never mind. You need to learn to have some professionalism.” She didn’t want to let go of her hand at first because she saw that we weren’t happy then eventually let go. She raised her voice and said, “Stop trying to control her. She’s the one spending money in here, not you. You need to get out of the salon!” She started clapping her hands, raising her voice and getting way to close to me. I told her she needed to step back because I wasn’t the one and told her to lower her voice. I also told her I wasn’t going anywhere and sat in her chair. Number 8, Abbie started out giving me great service. I mentioned the shape i got in another salon was awful & she gave me a nice shape. She kept saying she was the best & does nails the best and I believed it because of how nice the shape and how fast I was getting in and out . I was truly impressed until she drilled the underneath of my nails super thin it burned but I didn't want to say anything I let it go. I got a fill with gel single color nothing crazy. I tipped 15 and I felt as though she was displeased with the amount, she yanked the money out of my hand . I got in my car and and the underneath of my nail was so sore and one finger was bleeding. Hope I dont get an infection! Sure enough, 2days later a nail popped right off , I was washing my hands and it came right off. I came to the salon and another tec was very rude she said to take a number when I asked to speak to #8 and she said ok bye. I went to abbie and told her I was just here 2days ago and showed her my nails are all falling off she said take a number thats 5 dollars per nail needs fixed not my problem once you leave, so I left . The following day 2 more came off after I took a shower. Save your money. I rather pay 60 for set that will last me atleast 3weeks. I'm very displeased to...

Glamour nails really has disappointed me! Everything started off great me and my mother went to them pretty much all summer... YES the environment is clean and attractive YES they are friendly HOWEVER they are extremely pushy and money hungry.

I insisted on having my acrylics taken off because I started to see some discoloration on one of my real nails which Something told me that an infection was forming.

The lady ASSURED me that my natural nail was fine and I trusted her being that she was the professional in the situation 🤷🏾‍♀️

Everytime I came in to get acrylics off she would be pushy and manipulate me in to keeping the acrylics on which I found to be very strange 🤔

My last visit I stood my ground and made sure the acrylics came off... The lady ripped the acrylics off and 1 nail was bleeding the others were thin to the skin and just as I thought the nail that I thought earlier on to be infected was for sure INFECTED!

After the traumatic situation The nail tech told me my nail was dead and ended service oh and she still charged me a fee after pretty much DESTROYING my natural nails😥

Stay away from this nail shop unless you are going for something very simple and basic that you could fix on your own if the worst was to happen...
