Bridge Park — Attraction in Sylva

I went here because it's supposed to be a farmer's market but not much produce here...lots of junk and houseplants I was beginning to think I was at a flea market. There was one man there from Berry Farms who was so nice and he sold me some farm fresh eggs for 4.00 a dozen a great price!!! I spend that much or more in the grocery store for organic and who knows about them..so he was nice and made it worth the stop though the rest of it was a huge disappointment I had visions of farm fresh goodies piled up at decent prices, no such luck 😒 However, I will try them again later in the season and of course to...

Beautiful little park created in Sylva Jackson County NC for local entertainment and enjoyment. The park offers live music under it's pavilion during the late spring and summer. Bands range from Rock to Old Time blugrass.

Many events are held the starting with Greening of the Mountains in late April. The Jackson County Farmers Market sets up on Wednesday and Saturday during the growing season.

The park is managed by the Town of Sylva and the ladies of the Sylva Garden Club...

It's not really a park in the traditional sense. There is a huge parking lot on one side of the railroad tracks. There is a seating area by the creek. On the other side, by the gazebo, you can grill or walk down to the river. I used to walk my dogs there years ago. They removed the accessible parking space, but you can drive up to the gazebo and park right in front. We take our dog their and my friend brings her pet pig down...
