Experience at store - The young sales gentleman was great very professional helped with checking availability and information asked about appliance.
FINANCE- Misinformed during ordering, this included when payments started (told upon delivery), and the period of time we had that payments would be interest free (was told it was 4 months and it is actually 6). This was not correct, instead we received a late payment notice. Nerve-wracking since we have never had a late payment in 13yrs (Credit history). Called simply to see what or who we needed to communicate with.. -Incorrect phone numbers -Miss informed on financial center completely -Contacts given were not even appropriate for the situation at hand Then insisted they were unable to help with any other aspects.
while my wife and I were explaining what our situation was the manager (Mark) was very condescending, Openly interruputive and argumentative with no intentions to help. (All we were asking for is the right place to call the entire time). Said we would even come into the store after it was suggested. Then hung the phone up after telling us it was the warranty that started the day of delivery not the payment to (Citibank) very helpful customer service here but this was how we found out the correct place to call. Then he hung the phone up. This was on 12/12/2022 around 1-2pm if upper management wants to review the phone conversation.
Found out on our own the correct numbers to city bank and called the gentleman who was very apologetic on Appliance centers behalf for us being misinformed and helped remove late fees due to appliance centers unprofessionalism. Read moreSo after coming home from open heart surgery, my Refrigerator went out while I was in the hospital. So after 4 days of living out of a cooler and knowing my caretaker was only going be available for the weekend. I got enough strength to have her take me fridge shopping. I wanted to support the smaller local businesses. I went to ABC warehouse and appliance center. Both close to home also. The customer service and promise of next day delivery (Saturday) and $50off my purchase,made me go with the appliance center on monroe street. So after picking the fridge i wanted she price matched home depot and it was the same price. Then I'm told the floor model was the last one available. OK then after paying for it I was told, it couldn't be delivered till Monday. So the next morning I put the model # in a search and Lowes had the same refrigerator for $150 less than what I just paid for a floor model with people's nasty hands been all over it.... So I purchased the same refrigerator for $150 less brand new in the box with the water line and free delivery and hook up the next day!! (SUNDAY)
I called appliance center less than 24 hrs and they kept over 50$ of my hard earned money, that was definitely needed not being able to work ATM and needed fresh food and was unable to lift over 5lb. My refrigerator was delivered and filled before my help had to go back home. Thank you Lowes! I will never shop or recommend appliance center to anyone. They are 100% Thieves taking advantage of the working man! You have been warned, don't let them fool you!!!! Lying Thieves that use children to promote their business........ Read moreI’ve been a long time customer to Appliance Center. Unfortunately I will never purchase another appliance due to a nightmare experience with the service dept and their warranty company (New Leaf). I’ve had the same microwave fail twice. The first time I did not purchase a warranty since I’ve never had a microwave fail. When I purchased the second time I was told the warranty would cover the failure I experience, no questions asked. That was not the case - they denied the claim and we were left with no options. I was told by the service tech that they have revamped their claim process and have defaulted to deny most claims due to new policy and fine print. Fast forward to now- I’ve been working with Mike Kelley at AC which started off okay with resolving the issue, but quickly realized it was more about removing my wife’s bad review and not keeping a customer happy. My only request was to apologize to my wife since his service team member had my wife in tears during this ordeal. Unfortunately his ego got in the way and canceled replacing the microwave. I called him to try and sort this out professionally but he refused and said he will be passing this on to his management and will not support making this right. I’ve been in sales most of my life and I’ve never experienced anything like this. I would expect them to go above and beyond at this point and not make this more of an inconvenience for my family.
