Iāve generally liked going to US Nails for their calm atmosphere, nice staff, and attention to detail, but Iāve noticed a recurring issue with nail polish chipping. My pedicure ended up chipping too. I believe this happens because they tend to file before painting, which is fine, but sometimes they file after painting, which causes cracks and leads to chips later.
In the past, theyāve fixed these issues for free, and the nails still looked great. Today, I came for another set (and a pediāamazing, 100%, but this is about the mani). Aware of the time crunch with the store closing, I asked for something simple and stayed adaptable. I communicated clearly, didnāt change my requests after the design was selected, and only made suggestions really only when asked.
However, things went downhill quickly. I made a few small mistakes smudging, which I apologized for, but I was anxious about the time left and her tone throughout the service. The technician didnāt seem honest about what she could accomplish and was setting a negative tone for the entire experience. At one point, she snapped at me to ābe patientā and had a mini tantrum, shaking across the seat and remaining very unprofessional.
To make matters worse, she applied my chrome powder with her bare fingerāa clear sanitary issueāand I was still charged the full extra cost for it. This is completely unacceptable, and I plan to report it to the Department of Labor (DOL).
Her attitude worsened when her husband called, and I overheard her gossiping about me in Vietnamese, calling me a "crazy client" to the cashier. I even pretended to ask if I had done something wrong to give her a chance to own up, but she lied and acted clueless, telling the cashier, āI did nothing wrong.ā
Itās unfortunate because the rest of the staff are generally nice, but this experience was unacceptable. Reading other reviews, it seems Iām not the only one who has had a problem with this technician. Beware of herāeveryone else here is kind and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf this could be rated 0 I would have definitely done that. I went into the shop and specifically told the lady( apparently the manager)what I wanted. she did not mention to me after I told her and showed her specifically what I was looking to get that she wasn't able to do it that way.
After about two nails in I mentioned it and she got very rude with me, I then proceeded to ask her nicely why she was getting upset with me for asking why she wasn't doing what I asked from the start and she made a big scene in front of the whole salon with a bunch of excuses on why she couldn't do it so I took out my phone to take a photo of my nails and she told me that I was not allowed to do that because there was other people inside the store. I think she thought I was recording but I was not. I was simply going to take a picture for review reasons. She then told another gal that she was working with in the store that I wasn't going to pay for my nails when that wasn't the case at all. I just wanted my nails to be done right.
She was trying to get me to leave without my nails being finished and I told her I was not going to pay for it unless she finished my nails. She then decides to finish it but pushing my hands around roughly and hurrying through the process.
I have gone there many many times and have never had this kind of service there before. I have asked for the same nail requests all the other times prior and they have done just fine. But this lady which I've never seen before and would not give me her name ( but wanted mine ) lol..was just a rude person in my opinion. I did get the name of her certificate which was Thuy Hoi from what I could read.I would recommend getting clarification if you decide to go to this salon that they can actually do the job you're asking for. I'll never go here again I can tell you that. Picture below is just to show that she hurried through it not even filling down underneath the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLong but worth the read!!! - I am currently 34 weeks pregnant & have swelling in my feet/ankles & wrists. I was in dire need of a relaxing mani-pedi. I called US Nails & asked if they were busy. She politely said no not too busy, we can take care of you here! She was very nice! So I showed up an hour later.. the salon is so clean, cute & has a quiet, relaxing atmosphere! There was other ladies already getting manicures, yet there was still NO WAIT. They have plenty of staff & they are all so sweet! I told her I was interested in a mani-pedi & she smiled, said okay we will do it for you, just pick a color. By the time I picked my two colors, they already had a nice warm foot bath ready for me at the pedicure chair. (There is lots of them too) The chair gives an excellent back massage (lots of settings). The water wasn't extremely hot, like some salons. It was so nice. They exfoliate your feet & legs, massage your legs with smooth hot stones while your feet are in hot wax bags (makes them sooo smooth & it feels absolutely amazing). When the wax sets they peel it off & massage your feet. They don't speed through it either, they really take care of you here! They make sure you're comfortable & happy with everything! I never had to move from the pedicure chair. Another sweet lady came and did my manicure right there!! She shaped my nails & made them look so flawless. She also wrapped my hands in hot wax bags while she massaged my arms, then after the wax was peeled off she massaged my hands & wrists. Omg it was so seriously relaxing, I almost fell asleep. This is the best place I have ever been to & will be making it my regular go to spot!!! They are so wonderful & so genuinely nice!! Btw, ALL that, for only $35! Needless to say, I gave them a nice tip!! They also do everything else too, including spa pedicures & facial/body waxing at great prices!! Definitely recommend US Nails...
