Unimpressed with customer service.

Scheduled a consultation for color and extensions with Tamara.

Walked in and was not greeted for about 15 -20 minutes. I was unsure who to check in with and arrived about 15 minutes early. There were stylist behind the counter but none of them addressed me, I would have been okay waiting if I was informed. Dolce was having a pop up event and one of the girls from that business greeted me first, and that was after 10 minutes and making eye contact multiple times to get someone’s attention. I didn’t even know what my stylist looked like, so I was unsure of the process.

I was not seen until about 30 minutes after my consult time. Tamara was busy with another client, totally understandable, I just wish this was communicated to me as I had other appointments that day. When I did meet Tamara, she was very sweet, but I felt rushed and uneasy about what direction we would be going in after I left. Her other appointment arrived and she seemed to be rushing with me when she saw the client walk in. We discussed weft extensions after addressing my hair type. I agreed to this, but how she wanted to place the extensions worried me with my thin hair. I didn’t feel like we were able to discuss this in more detail because she was running behind and I didn’t want to keep her any longer. I trusted her opinion though, as she was really informative regarding other aspects of what I wanted, so I moved forward with an appointment

I told Penelope and Tamara I would call a few weeks later to put a deposit down for my extensions/cut/color. I called and Penelope told me she will talk with Tamara about color/length/prices and get back to me. I told Penelope to please have Tamara reach out to me if she has any questions. I waited two weeks for a call back to place the deposit and heard nothing from Tamara or Penelope

This entire process was going to cost me about $1600 + tip. I’m really disappointed with the lack of communication. My appointment was for 9/13, I called and cancelled 9/11. That’s a lot of money to invest in to a new stylist and salon from a customers standpoint. I was really excited for this as my hair was chemically burnt and choppy from prior dying/cuts at home and at other salons to try and fix this. I was excited to feel confident about...

DO NOT USE THIS SALON OR TIMBER!!! I should of called around more. I had a hair emergency and needed my hair fixed. I was having a nightmare of a day. The receptionist was amazing and very respectful of my privacy in this matter. Why this Solon is getting 2 stars. Timber was far from understanding. First thing she said to me "I would ask how your day is but I read your notes" she said this loud. Then she made a point to point out what happened. I told her I don't care how I want my hair. Please do anything just make my hair even and normal. She continued to hound me with many questionson how to do my hair. I told her go free style. I don't care. I just want my hair to not look crazy.. she asked more questions. I then said anything she was saying just so she get it over with. This was extremely embarrassing. Few times during our conversation she say some cold statement and make it a extremely uncomfortable situation. I felt like my energy was not wanted there. I told her I don't use product and I like to stay natural. She continues to use product and says that she has too. Last I don't use heat on my hair. I didn't say anything about the blow dryer but I did ask her not to flat iron. She demanded that she has to iorn my hair.. my hair is straight. She at this point is just trying to get done. Hour and half for a haircut. Half the job was done for her. I honestly left feeling emotionally worse when a hair salon is ment to make you feel amazing. Or not at least worse. I tried really hard to like this salon. I have few hairs out of place too. I just ended it so I could leave. Honestly emotionally this worst salon. I been to salon that cut my hair so bad but they treated me with respect. Please read all reviews this salon pays people to take reviews down and do not treat people as they deserve.

Edit: I take everything I said about timber. I can now see why she had to strengthen my hair. Besides the fact I was having hair emergency. She just made it worse. My hair is chopped and layered on one side but not the other. This took 2 hours for this!! I did half the job for her! DO NOT...

Let me start off with how cute the interior of the salon is! It gives an earthy and modern feel. The restrooms are kept very clean and it was nice to have coffee, tea or water as complimentary.

Upon entering for my appointment the two gals that I engaged with were very welcoming. I believe the gal that checked me in was Megan and the other gal I forget her name but she has red hair with cute bangs in a ponytail who was letting me know not to worry about the hour parking in front of the salon. My advice to those new to the salon is to get there early as parking is limited in the front and the ample parking would be across the street or in the residential area.

Now let me get to my stylist who wow'ed me. This was my second time around with this stylist. Backstory I met Shawn Babauta at JCPenny as I went in to get a haircut and she mentioned she was moving to Dolce Salon which was the best decision she made as well as for Dolce Salon to add an amazing stylist to their team. Shawn is so talented and the thing I love about Shawn when I first met her was she listened to what my concerns were and what my inspiration was. Also Shawn gives good feedback on styles that compliment your face and how much work a certain style would be for example bangs. That's a plus for me because not many stylists listen or give you that type of feedback. When it comes to a long term stylist I feel that not only are their talents a plus but also vibing with them is important. Shawn I'm so happy my husband found you on social media because moving here due to a military move is always a bit rough.
