Need a flat, paved trail to access? Hamilton park is part of the longer sound side walking path. Traffic flanks the shore side, but for the most part goes unnoticed as the clear water and activities upon it easily capture focus. There is a treasure trove of seaside restaurants for those needing sustenance. Signs along the wide, paved path tell some of the story regarding Tacoma’s complicated history with the lumber industry and its impact on waterways. Signs dot the walkway relaying information on the Native people who lived and fished here for centuries before it was overrun by settlers, sacrificed for industry. Very pleasant walk.

“Smallest park eeever…” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ One of the many tiny parks littered around the Ruston Waterfront. Another great spot in Tacoma to see the sunset, especially if you want to see it set behind The Olympics. Only a few benches and tables, but a great place to read a book too.

This place has a great view of Cormorants in Tacoma, wa. I go down there at least once week with my wife. She's a photographer and enjoys taking pictures. I am going to upload one of mine, this is a bunch Cormorants in front of the ships along the shore line.
