One of my favorite beaches in Tacoma because of the great views of the Olympic mountains and the 2 huge Navy ships nearby. The shore is shallower and more rocky here than at the main beach, which makes swimming difficult but not impossible. I like this beach because it looks straight across to the Browns point lighthouse. I've seen a lot of wildlife out here: sea otters, seagulls, and rabbits in the nearby woods. Cheaper than the aquarium and quieter than the main beach along Ruston way. It's a great place to stop at the end...
