I've been to multiple coins shops through out Washington and Oregon, this place hands down has the best pricing and the most coins on display. You can actually go in there and find what your looking for without help from any employees. Probably the best thing I like about them. Most coin dealers "you have to know what you're looking for", they have to run into the back to find it. Or I get "not to many people collect Jefferson nickels" with a puzzled look. This place has a massive display of Pennies, nickels, dimes, quaters and a ton of slabbed stuff. Ontop of that, their pricing is right on par with internet prices and they staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. A must see store!!!

They had an incredible selection of new modern Dansco albums on display. They also had a great selection of raw world coins that I dug through. The things that jumped out the most to me were bins with oddities like modals and Sales Tax Tokens. Ryan and his manager were kind enough to let me take some photos. I also saw many bins with loose US coins, such as Buffalo Nickels, IHP, etc., at great prices. This is an excellent spot for kids to check out and try their hand at cherry picking. The other side of the store had stamp material, but I didn't check that side much. Overall, it's a great modern shop that would appeal more to the coin-collecting crowd.

Do your math before you make the sale otherwise you may end up getting taken advantage of! Didn't realize what the daily spot price was (5/9/24=$2334)until after purchasing this coin and realized I got taken for over $164 (half oz coin melt= $1167+50=1217..) Had decent experiences in the past but this is enough to make me not go back ever again...

My son and I have gotten into coin collecting recently, and of all the places within 20 miles where we live, this is easily the best.

Prices: Their prices range from fair to great. Some things are sold at melt value, and others are sold at a competitive and fair premium. I often can find some of the same items they have for similar prices online, and the great thing is I can trust the authenticity of the item when I buy it from this place.

Staff: There staff is so friendly and helpful. Not everyone is an expert in all things, and they do ask each other questions when any one particular member doesn't have the answer. I love how patient they are as my son tries to find the right pennies to go into is penny books. Because of their patience and willingness to answer his questions, he's now into nickels and likely will be back many times to fill out his nickel books. They are also patient with me, and I know I ask some oddball questions.

Inventory: They move a lot of volume. If they don't have it on display, just ask - they have a lot of items in the back. Lots of variety of US currency and a fair amount of normal size bullion.

Display: I like how they do the best they can to maximize their displays on the left side of the store so you can see a good variety of their coins. Also, I like that, unlike many other places, they display a good variety of quality and price instead of just the high dollar items.

Payments: Short on cash? That's okay here, too. They accept debit cards with no additional fee.

Every time we go in there they have something new for us. I just...

Came to Tacoma to visit our son and his awesome girlfriend and our beautiful granddaughter. I have been stacking about 8 months and want to get my son into it so we were looking for a lcs. I am glad that other places we looked were closed. This place is absolutely great. The selection was good. I got a tube(40) of silver quarters and my daughter in law her first proof state quarter. Michael was attentive and really informative, taking time to answer questions. After some more looking added a commerative half dollar to my purchase and was asking about a proof American silver eagle and Michael steered me to a stabbed proof 70 American Silver Eagle at great price. I think my son has found his lcs. I only wish I didn't live on the other side of the country. I highly recommend Tacoma Mall Blvd Coin and Stamp. Great coins at a fair price in a professional and friendly environment. Update...went back and purchased the other stabbed proof 70 American silver eagle and talked to another gentleman. I didn't have more money but wish I did when I found some other deals that they had. This place is an absolute gem. My advice is do a little research before you go, talk to the staff, ask questions and you will see just how amazing this coin shop is. Thanks again...

I browsed here for about 40 minutes total, and I'll admit that I felt a bit ignored at first. One of the clerks/owners was kidding around with other people he apparently knew, and I wasn't asked what I was looking for or offered help. They were happy to help when I asked, though, and I appreciated not getting a "hard sell" on anything.

This place focuses on U.S. coins, and the selection is good. There are numerous large silver pieces, as well as some gold, and they're honest about whether a coin has been cleaned. A selling point for collectors looking to diversify without spending a ton is a few "grab bag" offerings, including a couple of containers of cheap foreign coins, as well as some inexpensive nickels and silver certificates. It's possible to leave with a large number of coins/bills after having spent maybe $20 or $30.

Once I'd hooked up with a clerk/owner, we talked at length about collecting and had a great conversation. I haven't been to another Tacoma coin shop yet -- although that will change soon -- so I can't compare this place with the others. I can say that I was pleased with both the selection and my...
