Friday was my first time going to AQ and I can honestly say the money you pay is worth the experience and product. I’ve gotten my nails done many a times before and always had an issue, either the nails weren’t the same, one broke a few days after, the product chipped, the tech didn’t listen, etc. just to save a few bucks (literally a few bucks). This place is definitely somewhere you want to go when you want to get pampered and forget life for an hour or two. From the moment you walk in you are at ease with the aesthetics, greeted right away by friendly staff members, the noise level is minimal, no red flags to be seen, plus they have a cocktail bar with 1 max complimentary drink!
My tech was Sam and he was amazing to say the least. The quality work he did in the amount of time (1hr) was mind blowing. I’ve gotten way worse in the same amount of time so now I know what is achievable and will never settle for less again. I requested a full set in stiletto shape but with a little less point so I can function with black gel plus a matte top coat and that is exactly what I got! They are all uniform, the strength is not something I’m going to worry about, the cuticles actually got maintained, the finish is flawless. Sam was sweet, informative, listened to what I had to say and absolutely executed. He will definitely be the person I request from here on out. Thanks for killing it, Sam! 💅 🖤
I have to say something about Tee because his customer service is impeccable! A friendly face with a warm welcome right when you walk in is so appreciated. He checks on you multiple times throughout your time there to make sure you are happy with the service you are receiving and that you are enjoying your time. Tee is also there to complete your transaction, add reward points to your profile and offer the use of complimentary lotion in a myriad of scents before you strut your new set in the real world. Thanks for the cheerful demeanor you bring to AQ from start to finish! 💪
I did go with a friend and she received a pedicure and full set. This was actually her first time in 36 years to go to a salon and get any type of service. I’m really glad we decided to go here and make her first experience worth it. (She has been going through a very rough time the last year with the death of her mother, being a single mother, ups and downs of life that we all go through) she deserved everything she got that day, she was very happy with all of the services she received and definitely felt pampered and special. During her pedicure she even had a tequila sunrise 🍹 I don’t have the name is the pedicure tech but once I do I will add her name [here]. Her work was so good and they turned out awesome! Nick was her manicure tech and he was so efficient and uniform as well, highly recommend.
All in all this place is great from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. I will definitely be returning from here on out. I will recommend this place to anyone that needs a recommendation for...
Read moreMy sister and I both got a $67, 45 minute pedicure. She started before me and finished 10 minutes after me. My massage was very rushed in every way, almost like he was racing to beat the other technician. I said something to my sister when he was finished that my service was only 30 min. The other technician heard and said something to him. He came back and put more lotion on and massaged me for 5 more minutes and asked me if everything was okay. He was massaging again, so I said yes. He finished (again) and my sister was still getting her treatment. I had taken a picture of my color as I sat down, so I was able to look back and see what time I started. They asked about our service upon check out. I said it was fine. She questioned further so I said it was a little short. She said she would talk to him and give me a discount for the time difference. She went and asked the technician and he said he gave me an extra massage at the end, and he kept track with his timer. He did have a timer on his cart, but he never turned it on. My treatment began at 3:40 and ended at 4:10 (after the return massage). She came back and said she was sorry it “seemed” shorter, but it was probably that I just “enjoyed it too much”. There was no discount, just an apology for my “bad experience”.
The manager responded to my Facebook review and said they could “guarantee that we were 100% honest with the service” because they have the tickets showing I checked in at 15:31 and checked out at 16:24.
Unforunately, the amount of time spent in the chair does not equate to the amount of time being serviced. He got up and started another customers nails while I sat and waited for my sisters service to finish. My tech started much later on me and finished much earlier. Yes, I was in the chair, but I was not receiving service that entire duration.
He was very rushed in every aspect. He started on me after another tech started on my sister (who got the same treatment) and finished early so he could go do another customers nails. I sat in the chair and let my polish dry while I waited for my sister to finish. Her technician even put the foam flipflops on me because he’d already moved on to someone else.
Just wanted to warn other potential customers of the poor service, but in the treatment and customer service after. The receptionist asked me if she could speak to a manager to give me money off since I didn’t receive the full treatment time, but went and asked the technician who did my treatment. He, of course, denied a shortened treatment. She apologized and I said it was fine, I just want to...
Read moreI tried this nail spa out 3 times as of today and it seems as though they have a problem assisting people of different cultures. I asked to have my eye brows waxed and asked that they are waxed to look even this time because the last time the young lady Hedi had my eye bows looking completely different. I enjoyed the pedicure service all the way up until it was time for my wax. The young lady by the name Hannah sits me down and ask me how would I like my brows. I ask for them to be full and to look the same. She then advises that she could not do that service. I asked why and she says because she can’t do what I requested which was a typical wax. I then asked for the Manager to try and better explain my request. The manager comes back and tells me he that my request could not be complete because they clean up and do not arch the brows, he proceeded to talk over me and told me I should go somewhere else for my services. I said okay np, this looks like it will be my last time coming here because I am looking for a place that can complete both services of my eyebrows and pedicure. As I attempted to pay for my services and advised I would make a review on Google because of how I was talked too. I asked for his name as he is requesting to take my payment advising that I need to pay before I complete payment. ( I thought he was the manger) he advised that he was the Owner Rudely! And states that he “Knows me” I am not sure what that means. I really took it as a racial insult honestly. I came to receive services just as everyone else as a paying customer. His unprofessionalism was really surprising now having an understanding that he is the owner. To profile your customers is unbelievable. I set inside as I completed this review while my pedicure dries. He should really rethink how he treats paying customers going forward as he just lost a customer over a simple misunderstanding due to a language barrier and no effort to understand what I even saying/requesting. I understand that I can get my nails done any where as there are nails spas all over the City, the Owner should understand Customer service is apart of the service he is providing to...
