Sunday (today) is a beautiful day in Tampa, with perfect weather. We decided to go to this Outback for an early dinner or late lunch so that we could sit outside and enjoy the weather. This is one of the only Outbacks with outside seating. We walked towards the restaurant and saw one person eating outside and another sitting outside. We walked in and were met by a young lady who said she would show us to our seats. We said we would like to sit outside, she paused for a minute and said she would try to find a server to take us to the outside seating. She came back and said we could not sit outside; I asked why, and she said the server did not want to walk all the way outside to serve us and we would have to sit inside. We were not pleased with this but said ok we would sit inside. She led us into the restaurant, and we saw about three tables with people at them. She walked us to the bar area and motioned for us to sit in the booth directly next to one of the full booths. We then asked if we could sit at another booth not directly next to other people. Mind you, only one booth in the bar area had people sitting at it. All the other booths and 90% of the seats in the restaurant were free. The young lady said, no, this is where we seat people. I said very nicely that we could sit in a booth if that's what she wanted, but we would like a booth not directly next to the only other full table. She said, no, again that this is where she needs to seat us. We then decided to leave and go to the Kona Grill, about 200 yards from the Outback. They let us sit in their outside seating area. We ended up spending about $100 there. We will not be going to this Outback again. The one on Henderson Blvd. is older, but the people are friendly and always treat us well. You can see my five-star reviews of that Outback (on Henderson Blvd.) I was truly shocked at how we were treated.

I have been gluten free for 13 years so I love it when I come to a restaurant and they have a gluten free menu. Outback takes care of its customers with allergies & I love it. I came for the dessert, the salmon was a bonus. I ordered the perfectly grilled salmon, I had it served with the fresh veg: squash, zucchini & carrots. I’ve never had their sweet baked potato, so I tried this for the first time. Very good, it comes with honey butter and brown sugar. For dessert, the best part of the meal I ordered the only gluten free dessert The chocolate thunder from down under. This is a pecan brownie served with warm chocolate sauce, chocolate shavings and vanilla ice cream. Ahmazing! Switching it up I tried the Pina Koala A Bacardi martini ~ tasty 10/10

I have to change my mind after my latest visit to this Outback location tonight, which was once my favorite in the entire USA. Unfortunately, my experience during the start of Spring Break season fell short. While the lobster and sirloin steak were cooked to perfection, everything else was a letdown. The potato soup was overly salty, and the blooming onion, typically a highlight, was a soggy, greasy mess. The batter mix seemed off, resulting in a brown, oily disaster. Even my premium side of Brussels sprouts was soggy, likely due to being deep-fried in excess fat. On a positive note, the restaurant host and my server were incredibly friendly. However, the nearly empty parking lot spoke volumes about the current state of this location..

OK, let’s start off by talking about the customer service when I walked in the hostess was great. It’s when she took me to the to go person OK first of all he gave me three minutes to look at the menu and didn’t even come back in three minutes OK came back quick so I ordered. I was very nice. He seemed like he didn’t wanna be there for real but anyway, I waited for my order. My order came back. He brought it to me. He just handed to me. No have a nice day. No nothing didn’t give me the opportunity to look at my bag to see if I need anything else. So I proceeded to look in my bag and I didn’t have any plastic where I didn’t have the sauce Or anything so I had to go back to the to go stand in where he wasn’t at wait for somebody to come again because he was And the same hostess, very nice young lady got everything I needed that he didn’t provide me with. I was very nice to him. I even gave him a tip. I’m confused on why he didn’t have good hospitality Now let’s get on the food I order a sweet potato with the works, which the sweet potato was the size of a green bean and I couldn’t believe they wrapped it up and gave it to me. The Steak was burnt on the Outside, but was raw on the inside I’m confused. I ordered a medium, but it was raw and burnt at the same time. I got shrimp. It was only two pieces of shrimp. I thought I was supposed to have more for it to be a sirloin 8 ounce plus grilled shrimp. The fact that I’m only down here for two weeks in the first place, I went to was outback and it was horrible for me because of the hospitality and the food I wonder is this how y’all treat your...

Was not a good experience ever since we were seated. First we asked for water to drink. When it arrived, it tasted really metallic so we requested new water and lemons and it was fine after that, but we never received the lemons. Our waitress took our order for bloomin onion, and when it arrived, it looked like part of it was missing, although we were told everything is supposed to come out of the kitchen looking perfect before it leaves. Bloomin onion was still good to eat so not much of an issue there. We expected to be able to give our order when we got our appetizer, but had to wait until after we finished the appetizer and bread. We ordered a steak medium well and it came out extremely rare. So we sent it back and it came out absolutley burnt the second time around. Since the waitress never brought the horseradish sauce i asked for, I asked the manager for horseradish sauce for my steak when she presented the re-cooked steak. I never received it. At this point we were ready to leave. So we asked for some boxes and had to ask another waiter to grab them because it was taking too long. So we asked for the check, and it had 3 extra items on the receipt that we didnt order. So we got that fixed then paid. I paid with cash and our waitress came back with more money than i gave her. Not only were we not liking our experience, but the table behind us as well. You would think these things would happen when it is really busy, but it wasnt busy here at all and i can see why. We wont be returning to...
