3/12/2022: Edited to 4 stars. They’ve worked out the new growing pains and parking is a little better. ————————- Having lived in SoCal for a while, Shake Shack is iconic and a hard staple for so many people. Now that we have one here in Tampa, we wanted to go again.
With a ton of construction going on in the area, we had to park in the parking garage to the north and walk through the uneven walkways and sand/dirt construction ways to get there (wife in expensive high heels as we were on a date night was a little disappointed). Arriving, the west side door was locked and so we had to enter on the south side. Upon entering, we were greeted with a huge line and packed restaurant to which the staff said they locked that door to prevent people cutting the long line. Zero options for social distancing if that is your thing. And finding a table is a big challenge.
After waiting in the 15 minute line, I get to two of four working kiosks. If you wondered why the line was 15 mins to order, you don’t have a human interaction and half the people were trying to figure out how to navigate through the kiosks. Just pay to have people there taking your order Shake Shack come on. Pro tip; order it online before you get there to skip the line and then dine in will save you time waiting.
The food took 25 mins to come out which is ridiculous but I was with my wife so that made the time go by fast as we talked about how this SS wasn’t as terrible a wait as the ones in Cali. Food came out fresh; double bacon burger was on point and the strawberry milkshake was superb. Pricing is still high (~$6 for a small milkshake) so expect to spend $25-30 for two people. They have real Mayo (not just the herb Mayo) and even had BBQ sauce behind the counter if...

This was my EDITED third-time having shake shack. The first time: take-out while in midtown. the second time: delivery. The third time: dine in. Wow. Each time. Both of our experiences have been pleasant. First and foremost, the staff. During our visit, we noticed and were greeted from super friendly employees that really made you feel welcomed despite just being at a burger joint. And even considering the foot traffic that comes in and out this restaurant-they’re efficient, speedy, and courteous. The staff here is great. Shake shack may have the recipe BUT the employees at this establishment are the ones who execute it, and execute it well. If you ever visit be mindful the space is small, but definitely has personality especially considering the fact that they have a comfortable outside seating area! As for the food? 10/10 The fries are perfectly crispy and crunchy each time and the plant-based mushroom burger is sooooo good! my best friend accidentally ate my burger the first time we ordered take-out and had no idea it was meat-less. All in all this fast-food place is impressive. The fact that our delivery bag had a “thank you” note in it reigns supreme…like seriously who does that? Top tier restaurants that’s who!
Shake shack was delicious the first time and our delivery on Ubereats made my afternoon as the icing on the cake. If you think this review is me over reacting, until you’ve tried THIS shake shack you can beg to differ. I highly recommend them! Not sure where all these negative reviews are coming from, but if shake shack wants to reward someone for enjoying their delicious products count me in😂
P.S my best friend eats meat and says the burgers are bussin! Try it...
Read moreI didn’t even get to walk into the restaurant before I had a bad experience. I work in the industry, I understand that it’s a pain for customers to come in before close, so I typically don’t ever enter an establishment or a restaurant if they’re a half an hour away from closing, tonight, I had a long service myself, and I wanted to pick up some food for me and my boyfriend so I thought if I just ordered something quick and fried it couldn’t hurt. I walked up to the door and upon finding both of the entrances were locked 40 minutes before the closing time, before I even touched the handle of the door to knock, one of the employees looked towards me, glared, scoffed, and then proceeded to look away from me. Two or three patrons inside of the restaurant looked at me and then look back at the cashier. The cashier huffed, and then walked away. Then both the employee who saw me through the door, and the cashier went to the back together assuming to talk about the fact that I was at the door. I decided to walk away, because I did not appreciate being glared at by an employee with the establishment before their closing time, and being glared at while there are other patrons within. I’m no stranger to feel frustrated with guest and patrons coming in so close to closing time, but it is not something that I ever allow Myself to take personally, because it is my job. I would hope that next time the employees would be able to at least try to be more understanding. And would refrain from attempting to close the restaurant before it’s as standing...
