I ate at this place all the times. Tonight is the worst experience ever, I ordered same dishes every time, but this time, 2 items was super sour, then I told 2 different waiter that the items very very sour today, all they said was sorry n didn't offer to replace the dishes that i ordered to me.. I left more than half left on the table cuz I couldn't eat it anymore, all it tasted like I'm eating vinegar. After I paid, they asked me, do I want to take the leftover togo. I once told them again that, it's too sour, n of course, what I hear is sorry again. I walked out the restaurant already but feeling like it's not right, so I went back in to ask the manager why their employees don't offered to replace the food when the chef cooked wrong? Then the manager told me that after first tasted, if I don't like I can ask to replace it, I told her I did told them the food was very sour, but all they said was sorry. And I have to say that to 2 different waiter total. But they don't bother to offer to replace it. After the manager heard that, she changed her attitude, she told me that I shouldn't try to continue eating it, and make me feel that I'm so cheap, n that I tried to rip them off. I was so angry, I told her did u see the food on my table was leftover more than half cuz I couldn't go on continue to eat that. And did I ask for togo the leftover? I was nicely asking her why her employees don't offered to replace when the food item cooked wrong, but she turns around and made me feel that I ate it and then complain. Omg.. this place from now on.. I'll never recommend to my customers come here n eat. Do business like this and have the guts to turn things around n make customers feel like they are cheap. Never ever recommend it..!!!!!!!!
Ok..I'm not a type of person that give reviews.. but for the past hour, I was in and out of bathroom twice. Now it makes me wonder, is my food that I ordered that had too much vinegar in it or it got spoiled? I ate this food items every time n never got stomach chased. This time food tasted more sour & the next thing I did was running in n out of my bathroom. I came there cuz I was craving for the food I'm always eat when I get there. Tonight I waisted over a hundred dollars just to get...
Read moreAbsolutely horrid food. This is one of those places with the gelatinous chicken and beef. I tried: Cashew Chicken (VERY SIMPLE DISH) Salt and Pepper Short Rib (not so simple) House Special Fried Rice
The cashew chicken was suspended in a near jelly-like "gravy" almost the same consistency as the chicken. The baby corn was horrid tasting.
The Salt and Pepper Short Rib dish was NOT prepared traditionally. Allow me to explain. When this dish is prepared by traditional cooks, there are no bones. The short ribs are braised and the meat is cut from the bone after for use in this dish. Instead, these slackers decided to cut the bones with the meat as well. The meat is that nasty gelatin like meat that doesnt even taste like meat.
The house fried rice was ridiculous. For everything that goes into this dish, there was NO FLAVOR. Not even a salty taste from the shrimp. Very weird.
For all 3 dishes, the bill was almost $45. I thought that after seeing the more expensive than usual prices along with these "stellar" reviews, I had finally found good Chinese food in Tampa, I was horridly wrong.
I will keep looking but DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE! Unless you like bland tasting gelatin. Because that's more or less the taste of 3 distinct dishes which leads me to believe, every other dish they make has similar flavors.
I would post pictures but I think it should be apparent that not even my dog wants this stuff as its sitting in his bowl.
Speaking of, I guess its time to clean my dog's food bowl and put regular dog food in it so he can have dinner.
I am also led to believe, most of these reviews are falsified or paid for as there is NO WAY this place is worth the amount they charge NOR is it even REMOTELY good.
Save yourself the aggravation. Go with Panda Express, Pei Wei or P.F. Chang's. Hell, at this point, Taco Bell with their Grade F meat is better than this. DO NOT ORDER.
I also would not be surprised if these people experience closure for health code violations as nasty as...
Read moreMy family and I actually love the food at Yummy House and typically order my favorite Salt & Pepper Shrimp and Salt & Pepper Pork Chops. Tonight, however, was highly disappointing. I noticed my pork chops were pink inside and let the waiter know. (They could actually see the raw meat, so clearly I wasn’t a scammer trying to beat the system). Unfortunately, they treated me as such…someone else returned to my table about 5 minutes later, barely apologized, and said that since I had already eaten some of the pork, they would not replace my food. Instead, they would take a discount off my food. I sat there- unable to eat the rest of my meal with my family and watched them eat. Finally, upon receiving the bill, found that 20% was taken off my food. I was not against paying, but several issues remain: their nonchalant attitude toward serving raw pork, the fact that I felt concerned about not realizing my son and I had already eaten some of the raw pork with the potential to make us sick, and finally not even being offered a meal replacement while I watched the rest of my family finish eating their food- just bad business! I’m certain undercooked pork is against code and I was highly uncomfortable and inconvenienced by their distant response and how they addressed the situation. Food poisoning is a serious issue, and anyone who has been exposed to such at a restaurant should immediately be accommodated with a speedy, genuine response. A good meal and fellowship with my family was ruined by raw food and poor customer service- all of which could have been easily remedied. I bet if the shoe were on the other foot and it was their family who was served raw pork at a restaurant, they would anticipate a much different response than what was delivered to me and my family. HUGE disappointment to Yummy House tonight- you’ve lost all credibility and are now the Yucky...
