I bought $77 of food, EVERYTHING was mids at best. Not to mention the RIDICULOUSLY high sodium count on ALL of their food. Venison sausage was honestly bad, ive had venison sausage, i do not think what they sold me was venison at all. Mahi mahi was solid but overpriced, wagyu beef was bad, definitely not wagyu, they sell wild boar AND pork sausage, sooooooo not wild boar sausage but labeled as such. Honestly extremely disappointed, nothing was worth even close to the price, the sausage was good but not worth the added price. The wagyu hot dogs were far worse than black bear or ball park dogs and were $3 per dog, genuinely bad. The sodium count on alot of the stuff is like 33% your daily value for a single dog, honestly, just go to Publix. Not worth the RIDICULOUS Pricing of this shop and they don’t make anything themselves they buy it from outside sources. There was absolutely nothing special about anything they sold me other than the price being ridiculously special. WILL NOT be back ever. Excellent service though hence the non one...
Read moreHeights Meat Market is absolutely awesome, truly a hidden gem. I got turned onto it from people in the Tampa Bay Smoking/Grilling/BBQ Facebook pages and I'm soo happy I did. Went in just before Father's Day to get a pork belly and look around and wound up buying about $200 worth of meat.
Their pork belly was absolutely gorgeous and a nice slab of meat which made some awesome burnt ends and bacon. The dry aged black angus ribeye was genuinely one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life! The hogfish filets were a bit fishy but not too bad and the Wagyu hotdogs were just okay, honestly would probably just skip these 2 next time.
Lastly, the Wagyu tri tip, that we actually bought for my dad on Father's Day, turned out amazing! A few hours in a sous vide followed by 10 minutes on the grill to get some char and served with some Chimichurri sauce, it...
Read moreI was looking to buy chicken thighs for a curry, so I decided to visit Heights Meat Market for some fresh, quality meat.
While there is parking around the market, it can be a bit of a hassle if there are already 3-4 people shopping.
Upon entering, I interacted with the server to discuss different chicken options. Unfortunately, the chicken thighs were sold out, so I opted for chicken breasts instead. Besides their meat selection, they also offer a variety of sauce rubs for enhancing your dishes.
The quality of the meat was excellent, and I appreciated the reasonable prices. Being a family-owned business, Heights Meat Market is a great place to buy...
