Starlight Nails — Attraction in Tampa

I will never use there services again. I took myself and my teenage girls to have 2 over lays over natural nails and one full set. Short cut finger tip lengths as the have never had there nails done before. I told the lady at the front desk on the left side of salon what I wanted. One daughter 14 was sat at the front of salon of the left side. Second daughter on the same side 2 chairs away and then I was sat 4-5 chairs away from them so I could not see what was being done. The lady who did may nails. Acrylic over lay only on my natural nails got finished first with polish before I could see the whole process with my 2 girls. Teenagers at that they don’t know what to tell the nail tech. Never had there nails done before. My youngest got done first and she noticed that the tech didn’t go all the way to her cuticle with the acrylic over lay. I mentioned it and was told no worries we will fix it. I said if it was out of the scope of the work I will pay the difference. The only thing the tech did was paint her nails to the cuticle. Then my 15 year old got done. She did not have the sports cut finger tip length I asked for mind you I was being asked by the tech 4-5 chairs away on what she was suppose to be getting?? No prices of services is posted in the salon. Paid 115 plus a 17 tip which I don’t think you deserve. Watch out for this salon going in with teenagers. You will be seated separately so the parent can not see or assess what services are happening. My mother used this salon for years and years now I regret ever giving them the benefit of the doubt. Mind you my 14 year old still didn’t get what she asked for. I bit the bullet paid and left never again. They said they would make it right and still didn’t. Just used polish to cover up not using the acrylic all the way to the cuticle base. I found flaws in mine as well. Stupid me for paying for something that wasnt right. That is one me. Unless your going for a full set with tips don’t bother. 115 for acrylic over lays and a full set. Your better off finding someone whole does this from there home. Garbage absolute garbage. Never again. The red nails my 14 year old. The blue which is not the color she asked it was a baby blue again first time ever having her nails done for my 15 year old and the sparkles is me. The blue nails NOT A SPORTS CUT...

Great experience. I do not get my nails or toes done too often. I get a gel pedicure about every 6 months and it's been years since I've done a manicure. The entire pedicure was great and there was effort and care put into it. I asked for a color I saw online that was kind of a a monochrome color and they did not have it. I hesitently decided on one of the red, glitter swatches but after Zane - I think that's his name, put on the base coat I spoke up and said I had switched my mind. I'm really happy I did. Zane did not make it a big deal, or make me feel bad about it; he was more than accommodating. The pedicure was so good that I decided to get a manicure. Let me yell you, it was one of those days where I just could not make up my mind. I showed Zane a couple pictures and we decided on one. The daisy's were kind of tricky and every time he felt that it wasn't perfect he wiped it off and started again. I would rather have someone do this then try to rush to get it done. Overall. I was there for about 1.5 -2hrs and paid $108 for gel pedicure and manicure...

My sister and I went in for matching sets due to a wedding. We showed them pictures of what we wanted even before deciding to stay (the condition of the salon is horrible) and was told it would be no problem. After being burned my a hot towel that I had to take off myself due to the technician not paying attention, it took them an additional 35 minutes to find an acceptable color. The one they promised they had was not what she attempted to use and even the color I walked out with is not at all what I expected. My sister asked for Hannah specifically and was told she couldn’t help because she did not do Gel nails, again something we confirmed would be an option when we arrived. The overall experience was very unprofessional. To top it off, I left with bubbles in my nail the technician said she didn’t have time to fix and 3 days later the color is peeling from the cuticle so not from wear and tear. I’d give 0...
