Krispy Kreme — Restaurant in Tampa

UPDATE - When gong through the dispute process with my bank, I was given an 800 number for the Krispy Kreme corporate office. I called the number and the gentleman I spoke with was very kind and helpful with issuing my refund and is sending a coupon also. I'll adjust the star rating accordingly. Thank you to Krispy Kreme corporate headquarters!

Avoid this location at all costs! I ordered 2 dozen donuts and 2 20oz Dr Peppers, but got 1 dozen donuts and some horrible tasting soda called Pibb that I've never heard off. I ordered during hot light time but got cold, stale, greasy donuts. When I called, and gave them my receipt number and name, they said my order didn't exist in their system! They steal hard earned money from Americans and then act like you don't exist. I even sent an email to their corporate office and gave negative feedback in their survey and heard nothing back. I made it clear that I didn't want a full refund. I just wanted $8.11 back from an almost $30 order which is what I calculated based on the missing dozen donuts and the 2 wrong sodas, and they still can't be bothered. Another greedy American corporation that jack up their prices offers no service, and ignores you and acts like you don't exist when you try to get something resolved. The area is overall not great but the store itself is good. The donuts are consistent and taste exactly like you would hope for them to. The inside is okay, small and not too well kept as far as cleanliness goes. I wouldn’t sit and hang out inside, but there is tables if you choose to do so. As far as specialty donuts, they often sell out very quickly here, so you’ll need to show up as early as possible to get them.

The staff is usually fairly nice. I have had one negative experience with a younger employee who made a mocking joke towards my son for asking about Barbie donuts, but I don’t really take that out on the establishment themselves and more so the employee. Other than that everyone has been very nice.

I do not recommend any of their coffees or iced coffees, they don’t taste great and after watching how they are made, I am really not surprised. The machine and surrounding area is a big mess and seems unorganized and is not very consistent.

If you’re going, stick to what you know and just get the dozen glazed donuts when the hot & fresh sign is on. Donuts that sit in their display case are generally not very tasty in...

The donuts are awesome. I just don't understand why they don't follow the rules that other Krispy Kreme locations do. I had a coupon for a free dozen that expires on the 14th. I came in on the 13th and they were trying to tell me that they can't accept it and it ended on the 11th. Even though I have proof that that's not the case. They said they would accept it "just this one time" I'm happy they accepted it and all.. But I was made to feel like I was doing something wrong and being done a favor for something that they are literally supposed to do as a Krispy Kreme location. I didn't get any reasoning as to why they don't follow the same dates that the company does. I guess this means you have to call ahead before you use any type of coupon or promo. Also the coffee is just really really bad. I've tried it three times now and it is a sugar bomb that will give you diabetes. I liked the associates in the store and the donuts are amazing.
