I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I want to assist parents looking for a place to take their kids. I should have listened to the lower reviews, as they were accurate. We are visiting town to see old friends, as we used to live here. I took my 11yr old son and his friend to the Catapult location in St. Pete and they LOVED it. Spent 5 hours playing and still didn't want to leave. They had originally wanted to go to the Tarpon location, but the reviewed steered me the other way. Well, today, they wanted to try Tarpon, because online they saw a few things that St Pete didn't have.
The differences between the 2 locations were drastic. St Pete had around 25 tables, and even more massage chairs. Tarpon had around 8 tables, and they were all taken up by camps. Only 4 massage chairs and 1 didn't work.
St. Pete location was spotless, the staff was not only always available and easy to find, but also constantly cleaning. There was not one single thing on the floor, left on tables, or in and around the inflatables. In Tarpon, I only saw one staff member. She was incredibly kind and helpful when we checked in, a star employee with a great attitude, someone I would absolutely hire myself, but she was the only one I saw, so of course, employees were not easy to find for assistance and she had no possible way to clean up. The floor was sticky everywhere, chocolate Candy was melted in several spots, massage chairs were filthy, and I had to clean off the one little spot I found to set my things.
In St Pete, the zip line portion of the climbing obstacle course was roped off for repairs, but that's understandable from time to time. Everything else was working great. In Tarpon, the inflatables were not fully inflated, you couldn't find the tubes or bags to slide down easily.
My son and his friend made one round of all of the slides and other things to do, and they were back to me within 15 mins saying they were ready to go. These are the same boys who didn't want to leave St Pete location after FIVE hours. They asked me to take them back there, but I had just dropped over $70 at Tarpon for them to play 15 mins!
They said the bounce houses were not bouncy at all in Tarpon, because they weren't fully inflated, the slides were sticky or something and they slowed down, not really sliding.
The St Pete location has a HUGE obstacle course of inflatables all connected. They run the entire length of the building. In Tarpon, the inflatables are set up individually, the flow is very choppy, and there aren't many of them.
Just a very disappointing visit all around. The boys said they won't go back there, even for free. I...
Read moreThis place is a disaster! Not enough staff to oversee potentially dangerous areas! The children are pushing each other down the slide with the tubes. My 5 year old grandson was going along with what the older kids were doing and helping push the kids off to give them a head start. My grandson pushed a child that apparently did not want help (which was wrong) the little boy went crying to his mother but exaggerated the story and added that he had been punched and kicked. His mother then came up and approached me and I informed her that I was standing there watching the whole thing and my grandson did not punch or kick him. Then the mother who I will refer to as Karen, had management look at the video. Management did see my grandson push him to assist him down and if the boy did not want that that was wrong and my grandson should apologize. They did not see my grandson punch or kick. So you would think the fair thing would be they both should apologize to each other. The staff at Catapults didn't feel it was necessary for the child or the mother to apologize for the false accusations and their behavior only my grandson needed to apologize. To me the whole thing was petty and it's kids being kids but since the staff got involved it should have been a learning lesson for both children not just one being singled out.
I did explain to my grandson where he went wrong AND EXPLAINED to him where the other child and adult went wrong. To avoid any other issues I decided it would be best for my grandson and I to leave because I could tell Karen was not going to leave it alone and I did not feel safe at this point for my grandson to be in the same unsupervised areas as her son ( you can not see in certain areas and there is no staff in those areas) I didn't feel like my grandson would be safe...
Read moreThe kids love this place. Talk about a workout. Take all your future stuntmen and daredevils to check this great place out. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The prices aren't that bad, 20 dollars a month if you get a membership and since my kids love this kind of stuff we like to try them all out and then decide which one we like the most. There are no trampolines it's all bounce houses, ball pits, high jumps and slides. They even have a sky track or more like an obstacle course up in the rafters. They put a rope seat on you and a harness to keep you anchored in to a track for your harness to follow as you move through the course. Nothing but smiles and laughter the entire time and what kind of price can you put on that. My daughter's best friend had a birthday party there and we are so glad we went and found this place. Always down for a good workout and a chance to wear them out. Don't happen often. I can't wait to take them again. I may have had more fun than they did honestly. Everyone was tired when we got home too. That's always a win in our house.Thank you guys and keep up the good work. We will definitely be to see...
