The Taylor Falls Overlook has a very nice view of the St. Croix River from the Minnesota side. However, it is not accessible from the road. It is part of the trail hike between the visitor center in Taylors Falls and the State Park just down the road on St. Croix Trail. To access the overlook, you will have to hike from one end or the other up to this location to experience the view. It is a beautiful view and, honestly, the hike between the Visitor Center and the State Park is one of my favorite day trips, particularly in the fall. However, visitors should be aware that there's really no way to simply drive up to the overlook. In addition, the hike along the trail, while short, is fairly rugged in spots, so it is not really handicap accessible. I would recommend the Overlook as part of day trip on the trail between Taylors Falls and the State Park, but I would not recommend a trip just for the purposes of seeing this overlook on its own. If you are considering trying to make this trip, take a look at the reviews for the Interstate Park in Minnesota. It is truly a great day trip and a wonderful hike, but the Overlook is just one part of that trail and not a sight to see...

This summer, my daughter and I are doing day Mommy camps...... it was hiking day today🥰 This was a fabulous place for hiking, and we loved all the trails on both the Minnesota and Wisconsin sides. There is an easy walk over bridge to get to the Wisconsin side. Parking was only 7.00 for the day, and they had public restrooms with lovely flushing toilets and even a very nice changing station if you've got tiny humans who need that. We hiked for over 2.5 hrs, and the parking pass was...

A breathtaking escape into Minnesota's exquisite riverland. Expect to wander for hours from one end to the other, following the river as it snakes through centuries old canyons etched out by time and erosion. It's an absolutely stunning park no matter what season you visit; but nothing quite compares to a fall stroll into the kettles and back up. A must-visit for any resident or tourist...

The trails were nice. Enjoyed that it ended up being a loop with different scenic views. The trails were not too hard for me, average, not in shape, but not completely out of shape guy. Areas where there were stairs climbs, there was usually a bench to rest afterwards 😁. Public restrooms were available in parking area. Probably not great for younger kids cause you'll probably end of carrying them.

The breathtaking views in Taylor's Falls never disappoints, even in the winter! It would have been great if at least the parking lots were plowed, but I appreciate that it discourages people from hiking on the slippery rock formations and getting injured. I look forward to more adventures at the falls, but next time will only be visiting during Spring - Fall months.
