The Taylor Falls Overlook has a very nice view of the St. Croix River from the Minnesota side. However, it is not accessible from the road. It is part of the trail hike between the visitor center in Taylors Falls and the State Park just down the road on St. Croix Trail. To access the overlook, you will have to hike from one end or the other up to this location to experience the view. It is a beautiful view and, honestly, the hike between the Visitor Center and the State Park is one of my favorite day trips, particularly in the fall. However, visitors should be aware that there's really no way to simply drive up to the overlook. If you are considering trying to make this trip, take a look at the reviews for the Interstate Park in Minnesota. It is truly a great day trip and a wonderful hike, but the Overlook is just one part of that trail and not a sight to see...

We hiked for over 2.5 hrs, and the parking pass was...

It's an absolutely stunning park no matter what season you visit; but nothing quite compares to a fall stroll into the kettles and back up. A must-visit for any resident or tourist...
