The Goat Saloon — Restaurant in Taylors Falls

I brought a friend here last week and had just told her how we had had nothing but good food and good service since it was under new ownership/management. Unfortunately, that was not the case on this visit.The food was wonderful, The burgers here are so good. But our server was really inattentive. We got our drinks right away, but had to wait quite a while to order our food. Then we did order our food-we were worried it didn't get put in, because we noticed that the grill was completely clean and the cook was no longer cooking. Turns out he had finished our food, our server just wasn't paying attention and was counting pulltabs for another customer. We asked for our checks when we were done and ended up just bringing them up to the bar because we had somewhere to be after dinner and things were just taking too long. The Goat Saloon is a great little bar and grill to have a nice lunch at and grab a drink or two at when you are in Taylors Falls. We stopped in for some drinks and lunch after visiting Interstate State Park in Taylors Falls, and its convenient location is just a few blocks from the park entrance right downtown. I had a great burger, and also had some chicken wings and cheese curds as appetizers. The burger was great and they had a good selection of different burgers to choose from. Stopped into the Goat yesterday on a whim, cute place with a unique vibe! Kristen our bartender was FABULOUS!!! She was friendly and inviting! We ordered food and it was delicious!! Kristen made our first time there great and we will definitely go back to see her! The only thing I will say is the cook was extremely grouchy and treated her poorly and it was noticed by us and another group of people at the bar. We made a comment to her about his behavior and she was polite and kind about the situation… a true gem she was! Hopefully next time we stop in his attitude will be better as it poorly reflects on...
