*updated 1/14/2020 - We've seen some improvements. The amount of popcorn on the floors is still disappointing (shouldn't be that difficult to do a quick sweep on the tile and push-sweep the carpet semi-regularly). But all drinks are stocked, the popcorn machine is working again, most of the bathroom stalls appear in working order, and they can scan digital tickets from phones again. So while I think there is still a lot of room for bettering the look of the theater common areas, lobby, hallway, restrooms, the theaters always look clean and the seats are great.
One thing I would warn about is seating and those who appear to believe they are fine to jump into any theater they want after the movie they paid for has ended. The last 4 times we've been to the theater we've had to point out to people sitting in our seats that they are in our seats. With assigned seating on the tickets you'd think people could find the Row and Seat number (all clearly marked). But not only do these people move out of our seats, they then move again when the next group arrives that paid for those seats, and 3 out of the 4 times they eventually wind up leaving the theater when they realize the only seats available would be right up front. This last time was a complete mess due to later arrivals thinking to avoid conflict by sitting in open seats and then having to themselves move when the people who paid for those seats showing up. A woman and her two kids screwed up seating for 5 other groups by being in a theater they didn't have tickets for. Since this seems to be a consistent problem, I'd highly recommend management get an employee stationed as an Usher to "assist" with people finding their seats until the show actually begins. When you start seeing people shuffling out of seats by the folks who paid for them politely ask to see their tickets so you can "help them find the right seats".
(original one star review) I'm bewildered to how there have been 5 Star reviews in the past 2-3 days. Every drink except Diet Coke and Root Beer was "Out of Order" yesterday. The Popcorn was being brought in from the back in a large plastic tub and I heard complaints all around me about the popcorn not being fresh. The lobby was a disaster. Half of the Frozen Yogurt options were also "Out of Order". Even some of the restroom stalls were "Out of Order". I can only imagine the theater was unprepared for the volume over the long Thanksgiving Weekend. But not putting up any kind of sign at the counter regarding (We are out of nearly every fountain beverage so before you stand in the line, pay for the cup, and then go to the self-service area, then have to come back and get a refund, maybe you should be informed we don't know how to manage our stock appropriately). And beyond that the Ticket Readers were apparently broken so you had to go to the one working printed ticket machine (the other two were, you guessed it, "Out of Order". Then you would type your e-ticket number into the system (the barcode scanner wouldn't work). And print out your tickets so you could go in and see the film.
I should point out this has been our Go-To Theater since it opened. And typically having one of these issues is to be expected in a large business employing dozens of people and providing good service to thousands. But while you are advertising your Black Friday deals on All-You-Can-Watch movies to have such an absolutely horrendous example of mismanagement, terrible customer service, and a nearly non-existent acknowledgement to patrons that they are getting a less than acceptable level of service on nearly every level. I guarantee this theater has cost the Regal group thousands of dollars in annual membership subscriptions.
Hope they get their act back in order. We'll probably stop by next weekend, but we won't pay for tickets in advance at this theater again until we see some serious management attention...
Read moreI have so many issues with this theatre, it's app and the unlimited program. It's all just such a mess. I don't know the last time I have seen a company so bad.
Let's start with the unlimited program. In order to cancel it you have to email them and wait till you hear back. It's not an easy find where it says to cancel here you go. It takes time to find it on the website. It's an incredible pain. First time I canceled I get an okay. Not hey please tell us how we can make your experience better or anything like a company that cares would do. My roommate cancels and gets discounted months. Second time I canceled is when I was offered the discounted months. When you start back up you have to agree to the 3 months again each and every time. You have to take a new picture. It's just bad. Was clearly not thought out well at all.
Let's touch on the app. I have had showtimes not show up for almost a week after vanishing. Last Thursday I was looking at Borderlands and so was my stepdad. Problem is I saw 3, 6 and 9 and he saw 2, 5 and 8 at the same exact theater. There is only one in Utah. It took like 5 hours for his to finally show the correct times. Again such a pathetic mess.
Let's go over the phone number you find in Google. I called went through all the prompts to get showtimes and I get a recording that says for showtimes go online then hangs up on you. I called back and listened again and was able to find the prompts to send me to the theatre and there menu I did showtimes and it's basically the same thing. Go here and here goodbye.
Now for the theatre itself. Tonight I go to see the new Alien movie excited for the movie and getting one of the Xenomorphe popcorn containers only to be told they are all out as they started to sell them a week ago. A week before the movie starts. Who the fudge does that. I was told by one person they should be getting more and then someone else saying they won't be getting any at all. A different visit I went to buy something and asked if I could use a loyalty card that is not mine and I was told why should I care. A different visit this person a few seats away from me was on their phone the whole movie watching tick tok and texting. I went to complain and stood at the counter for like 5 minutes after explaining my issue and where the person was. I was then told that a manager would meet me at the theatre so I went back and stood outside anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes missing more of the movie I payed for. After so long I said screw this and went back in. Not even 2 minutes after I sat down a manager poked their head in then turned right back around and left. Again I told them right where this person was. I ordered a pizza one time if you can call it that. Was a tortilla with sauce and cheese. Out of the corner of my eye I watched the guy come out with it and stand next to the person that took my order. He said that's his pizza and the guy that brought it out said I know I am waiting for him to comer over. They were talking quietly but I could hear them enough. 2 things. 1 a number was never called and I was never notified. And 2 how am I supposed to know it's mine and none of the other people in the lobby didn't order food? One more that I just remembered. While I was waiting for someone I saw an employee just sit down on a bench in the hall. After 15 or so minutes a manager comes out and talks to them and they were doing homework on the clock and kept saying they were going to fail their final if they didn't study.
This theatre and employees are horrible. They either don't care or don't get treated well by the company. ...

What is this feeling, so sudden and new (that I have about this theater?) One short day found us at this theater to see a popular movie that had just come out and we left sorely disappointed.
The staff were cranky at the concessions, rolling their eyes when we took to long to decide on other food items. Why did we take long to decide? Because they were out two of the things we wanted and I guess we didn't come prepared with our backup orders. It was either popcorn or cheetos popcorn. So, we went with popcorn. He also wasn't happy that my wife had to go a few lines away to find bottled water and bring them back as the fridge in his line was out and hadn't been stocked.
I also got a large fountain drink only to come upon an absolute trash heap at the self-serve drink counter. Ice was spilling out all over, including the floor and a number of the soda bibs were empty (not even sort of empty, but running as clear as water) Considering how rude the staff were and how long the line was I just threw my $9.00 large soda cup away rather than having to deal with them.
There was also something bad in the theater as there was a crinkled pile of used napkins in my cupholder as well as someone's hair elastic. I really don't know what the napkins were used for, so there came my first visit to the bathroom to wash my hands only to find soap out in two of the soap dispensers and a diminished roll of papertowels.
The popcorn was also just off. Not every kernel, but enough that something in the oil is going rancid. I hardly made a dent in the tub before realizing it just wasn't an anomaly, so that was thrown away. Basically $20 is now just garbage between the drink and the popcorn. Had this been another theater - pretty much any other theater company - I'd have taken the popcorn up and said something and, more than likely, something would have been figured out. Instead, the rudeness of the staff earlier just made me realize it wouldn't' get me anything but an argument and I'm just not that boy on a Saturday, so I just trashed it.
Most of the negative reviews here focus on the cleanliness of the theaters and the drink station and the staff. These reviews go back months so it's hardly news to them. It just shows they're really not caring for their customers. With so much made about film in theaters dying out you'd think they'd make an effort. I guess not. In the end, I suppose that no one will mourn the Regal Crossroads in that regard.
Don't follow any yellow brick road, pink bubble, or witches broom to the Regal Crossroads in...
