I come here for the limited ramen they have on Saturdays, it's AMAZING and very affordable! The bentos are also very well priced and they have a wide range of Japanese snacks, small lunches and drinks. There's also a public microwave and open seating available if you'd like to buy a bento and eat it there. The staff has never given me problems and purchase is always smooth. There's always something new there for me to try too, I'd reccomend their coffee jelly, it's crazy good!

Reasonable prices. Don't think I've gotten Kewpie mayo and Okonomiyaki sauce in the same place locally ... Maybe ever? Great selection of Ito En teas, and misos. Other odd and end cooking / household items. Great selection of spices as well as the usual junk foods and candies. Bentos were thoughtfully made, and there's a few tables you can eat at (as well as a microwave). Photos are garbage because lighting, but there they are.

My daughter loves shopping here. The toddler sized shopping cart wins her over every time. You know, I can't recall a time when I've left empty handed. The store offers an array of snacks, drinks and ready made lunches. I drive from Phoenix to Tempe just to find the products that this store carries. I go for the yakisoba noodles and my daughter goes for the mess free ice cream shaped treats, they're a lifesaver in the car.

Not a big place, but it has plenty enough. Great variety of snacks, food, and drinks!

This place is that little Japanese Oasis in the desert! Their Bento Boxes are simply DELICIOUS! Big enough to satisfy any appetite! Their home made rice balls are simply amazing! And their in-store table, chairs, and microwave, allows you to heat up your meal, and enjoy it on the spot!

And now... (be prepared for this one!) they have a Bento Selling Machine! 🤯🤯🤯🎉 🎉🎉

I was a bit skeptical about this, but it turned out to be really good! I Really liked it! The machine asks you if you want your bento hot or cold, if hot, the machine heats it up for you, so you can enjoy it right away! The machine also provides you with a small insulated bag to make sure the food arrives to your place either hot or cold (how neat is that?!?). I have to give it to Japan, they never cease to amaze me!

They have a good variety of Japanese beer and sake, so if not for you, for your Japan obsessed friend or family member.

The people at the counter are always nice and helpful, and they always have a friendly smile for you. This place is purely a small Japanese delight! Recommended to all!...

Great Japanese Box Lunches, Rice Balls, (limited Quantities). Best time to get them is after 11am Tuesday through Saturday. Saturdays are their busiest day, the box lunches and riceballs sell out early by 11:30am. Sunday is their second busiest day and the store normally opens at 12noon. Try not to get there after 1pm. Tuesday through Friday, It is usually too late if you get there after 3pm. Excellent selection of imports of Japanese food. Frozen, Refrigerated and room temperature foods. Domestically grown Japanese Style Vegetables are also available. Prices are lower than most other Asian Supermarkets in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Try the Red Bean Ice Cream or get the Ramune Soda, one bottle is $1.49 plus tax, most places sell it at $2.50 or higher. They also sell Ramune Soda...

Idk, I can't say that I was completely dismayed with this place because they had some (very limited) cheap veggies and a wide selection of refrigerated noodles, but essentially the place looks run down and sad, most of their stuff is cheap type of foods full of preservatives but at very high prices, and for some reason sale staff followed me and my boyfriend around suspiciously - didn't know we give off a criminal vibe. We managed to find some good miso and some imported beer, but the rest of the stuff we bought was overpriced and underwhelming in quality. I heard that they have some food they make, and I would be interested in one day trying it, but the overall experience discourages me from driving out to Tempe to...
