Animal cruelty. They have always taken sub-par care of their animals but what I saw when I went to the store yesterday was appalling. Many chicks with no food at all, and the ducks had no water. None. Many of the areas had no heat lamps on either and you could hear the chicks peeping loudly in distress. It broke my heart. :( I spoke to an associate nearby and he said that the person taking care of them does not come in until noon. This was around 10 a.m. I told him they needed immediate attention and he said that he would. I walked around the store for about 15 minutes and went back to check, nothing had changed. As I heading to the front to ask for a manager I ran into someone else talking to another associate about the issue as well. I mentioned that another associate was alerted too and they did nothing. She assured me that she would go right over and make it right. Well I waited another 15 minutes and nothing changed again. Once I got to see the manager she said that they were getting a new shipment and that's why the food/water had been removed and they had not been tended to. I told her about the associates and what they had mentioned and she just looked lost and confused and although she apologized and promised to make it right, I honestly doubt she did based on the track record. Rural King used to be the place I always bought my feed, but I cannot continue to give money to a store that does not value the lives of the animals they sell. Read moreBeen shopping here for years with great satisfaction until last week. I had bought several hundred dollars worth of lawn care equipment here last month. When one of the things i bought failed, i called the store and the lawncare guy said bring it in and they'll exchange it.
So i brought it in to the store and was in the process of doing the exchange when the STORE MANAGER ROBERTA came out of no where at the customer service desk and very rudely told me that she was not going to exchange anything because I had used the mower.
I explained to her that i could not have known there was an issue with the mower unless i had used it. She kept saying no I'm not exchanging that. So after she argued with me IN FRONT OF OTHER STORE CUSTOMERS she finally agreed to let the in house mechanic look it over. He realized the problem but couldn't recommend a fix because it seemed to be internal and nothing he could do for it. After which i asked again if they would exchange it and she finally agreed after trying to humiliate me in front of other customers and wasting valuable time.
Tried getting someone to call me at corporate but so far no returned call.
Not spending my money at that store again. I've never been talked to like that in any store by anyone ever, let alone a manager.

Read moreI called ahead to make sure there was a specific mower in stock, after being on hold for close to 30 minutes, I was told it was in stock and available. I purchased this mower online right after getting off the phone. Then I proceeded to rent a trailer and head all the way there. (I live 1 hour away) When I got to the store, I went directly to "online pick up orders". They sent me over to customer service, a younger woman, who then proceeded to tell me they had to cancel my order. I wasn't sure why, as I had called ahead to make sure the mower was available. Long story short, they were extremely rude and made it seem as if it was my fault that their employee forgot to tag a mower that went to layaway earlier that day. The manager said there was nothing that they could do. I found another mower at another RK location and since they had already charged me for that I mower I asked if they could call the other store, explain that they screwed up and let me pick it up there. Again, manager said there was nothing they could do and was extremely rude and not willing to help. Very poor customer service. The girl that was there kept saying it was not her fault, well tell me, whose fault was it?! Certainly wasn't mine....but now I have wasted a whole day, trailer rental, gas and didn't even...
