The sunset views over Lewisville Lake are breathtaking, and the sunflower fields in full bloom add a special charm. A porta-potty is available for convenience, and benches along the trail provide spots to rest and enjoy the lakefront sunset.

   Read moreMy daughter and I found this gem, this evening. It's beautiful, has a wide dirt path that appears to be well maintained, and helps you forget you are in a city, for a bit. They do suggest you carry a horn, as coyotes and bobcats may be in the area. We only saw a beautiful hawk. Saw some birds near the Scout park area The trail was gravel and was not too crowded. We were able to see the lake for most of the trail.
