Ridgepointe Park — Attraction in The Colony

Ridgepoint Park offers ample parking and a kid-friendly play area. It’s welcoming to dogs, and the shoreline trail is well-kept, perfect for jogging, walking, or biking. My daughter and I found this gem, this evening. It's beautiful, has a wide dirt path that appears to be well maintained, and helps you forget you are in a city, for a bit. They do suggest you carry a horn, as coyotes and bobcats may be in the area. We only saw a beautiful hawk. Because it was late in the evening when we stumbled across this nature trail, we didn't go too far, but definitely have plans to return! We continue to enjoy the many trails in the area and the Colony Shoreline Trail is one we liked a lot. We walked about 5 miles. Saw some birds near the Scout park area The trail was gravel and was not too crowded. We were able to see the lake for most of the trail.
