I went here to look for new runners since it has really great reviews and my friends have experienced great service at their sister locations.
I was deeply disappointed. My husband and I walked into the store and stared at women’s runners for about 15 minutes without any assistance. After realizing that nobody was going to approach me to help, I went up to the cash desk where 3 employees were standing and asked for a size for the 4 shoes I had in my hand. (We were the only customers in the store.)
The associate came out shortly after with shoes and after asking how I felt about what I was trying. He didn’t ask if there was something specific I was looking for. My feet were never measured and my gait not analyzed. After these were not successful, he did recommend one runner I ended up trying but it did not still feel good.
At this time, I saw another associate greet another customer and offer foot mapping as well. Customers that entered after that were greeted and offered help as well (at this point there were about a half dozen people in the store).
I was determined to find new runners so I kept pulling shoes off the wall to try. He did not recommend any other shoe. He was not able to tell me the difference between the 2 models of one brand. Finally after trying on about 10 shoes (mostly stability) he asked if there was anything else I wanted to try, I mentioned a brand and there was no recommendation at that point. I felt like the product knowledge was poor since no recommendations were made.
Their availability of products are great. Absolutely amazing. However, my experience was not and it was very disappointing. I would not recommend this location to any...
Read moreI made it to Fleet Feet one hour before closing on 08/21/2022.
The store was out of the way for me and I was driving from work. The selection of running shoes was overwhelming for me despite the fact that I had an idea of what I wanted to walk out with.
I wandered around the shoe racks for about 45 seconds when I was noticed by Ms. Ainsleigh. She greeted me with a bubbly smile, asked me if I needed some help and literally skipped over to assist me.
Ms. Ainsleigh made sure my experience at this Fleet Feet was relaxing, informative, and somehow fun. She scanned my feet and made sure that I ultimately left with the shoe best fit for my foot.
I wanted Zero Drop low/mid cushion shoes due to the amount of standing/walking I do on concrete and tile. I expected to walk out in Altras or Hokas.
After 40 minutes of Ms. Ainsleigh patiently dealing with my mismatched feet I made a decision based on her knowledge and asked for her personal opinion of a few other shoe brands. I walked out wearing Topo Magnify 4's by the way.
Thanks to Ms. Ainsleigh's approach to customer service, I wouldn't mind having to commute back to this location.
As you may be able to tell, this review is equal parts about the employee as about the product because the customer- employee interaction is what wins over a new customer and keeps them coming back, which is what I will be doing.
Thanks...
Read moreWent there on Sat. 1/19/20 with high expectations of a great experience and was extremely disappointed. I'm training for my first marathon after two ACL surgeries and was excited to get some new, appropriately fitted shoes that would help support my knee and make running enjoyable, or as close to enjoyable as possible. This is a major life change for me, as I've always hated running (except while playing soccer) so I was already feeling like a fish out of water at this particular shoe store. And they did a very good job of making me feel even more awkward. My friend and I walked in and were NEVER greeted by a single person. Neither one of us. My friend decided to browse a bit while I stood by the front door waiting for someone to say something - ANYTHING - a simple hello, maybe some direction on what to do, where to wait - ok, maybe even a head nod at some point but no. I understand they were busy, so I waited patiently for 10+ minutes but not once during that time frame did anyone bother to utter a word. It's not a big store so you could not have missed us. This is why I shop online and why retail is dying. It just isn't worth taking time out of my day, driving, parking and dealing with people. So I just went ahead and ordered my shoes from Dick's at the same time I ordered my new treadmill, and purchased my fanny pack on Amazon and BOOM. No hassle....
