Visited yesterday. This is not the flea market of the past, with antique furniture, interesting collectibles, etc. It's pretty much an open air Walmart. Getting in & out to park was terrible, it was jam-packed, with delays, sitting & waiting for cars ahead to find a parking spot. Hopefully, they won't have a fire or health emergency there, since a fire truck or ambulance is not easily going to be able to get through. We did see lots of live animals for sale, Chickens, Turkeys. Mostly they were caged to what I guess would be acceptable standards of care, but we did see more than one instance where chickens were stacked two to three high on top of each other in a small cages, and some animals in the hot sun in small cages with no shade or water. Saw several vendors selling "fresh" seafood out of coolers sitting in full sun, with little ice to keep them cold, with lots of flies landing on the seafood. If the Health Dept, Animal Control, and Fire Marshal's office ever visit this place on a weekend, this flea market will be in trouble. We...
Read moreThe owners have always showed me great respect and this is one of the best all around down to earth for the people type of flea markets for both the seller and the buyers that I have ever been to. True there is no perfect flea market but as a seller when all else fails I head to Eleven Acers because it just works out better that way for me, and it's a better and more affordable place for a small time seller like me to come and make some much needed cash and find some of the best deals without all the red tape so to speak of the other wider known local flea markets. A perfect place for a country boy like myself. It's hard to find better down to earth folks like these. But this is just my opinion and whether selling or buying I've had great experiences here through the 15 years or so I've been going. I wish I could go more because I...
Read moreBy law you are not supposed to sell dead crabs it will get people sick. As a health official this bothers me. She knew the owner was away on vacation for Labor Day and slid those dead crabs out to sell to people the health department would not agree with this at all I see a lawsuit in the making because you are responsible for what you sell in our community and we can get sick from you selling us dead crabs! Other than that this is an awesome Flea market and everyone else has respect enough to sell pretty good items and fresh vegetables also the stand up some from this one always have the freshest seafood and reasonably prices so this review is solely based upon the...
