I went with my household last spring and nearly bought an N64 cart but they told me “oh actually this is $10 more than what is on the label” when they went to check me out so I didn’t buy it outside of principle. It feels pretty scummy to have them basically say “let me check what this is going for on eBay/Pricecharting before I tell you what I’m selling this for” as you’re making a purchase. I learned from the PNW retro gaming community and learned that they still have a sign that says that they are still “updating pricing” even though it’s now September. With the recent rapid increase of game prices it seems like a way to get a couple extra bucks out of customers who don’t know better.
