The thing that drew me to this place was trying the garlic fries. I live garlic fries, but you can only really get them in town during the fair at this one specific booth. There was a another cart that had them, but they left. I figured I would try a burger at the same time. I got a double smash burger, which I heard her tell the man in front of me was equivalent to a quarter pounder, with onions (Oklahoma Style) and without lettuce. I don't particularly like lettuce, so they were really accommodating to leave it off. The burger was good, but their was so much smash sauce that it drowned it out and made the whole thing sort of floppy and hard to handle. I unwrapped it, picked it up, and sauce was oozing out the sides on my hands and the burger almost cracked in half. Luckily, I put the paper bag it is in under me otherwise it would have gotten all over the table. I think a thicker bun would have stood up a little better or just a little less sauce honestly. I want to try the cart another time to see if maybe someone just over estimated how much was needed today. The burger is also on the crispy side. I really like that, and I prefer most stuff on the crispy side. If you don't, it may be for you. Like, So, I will give the burger a 3/5 for now
The garlic fries were good. Exactly what I was looking. Thick, crispy, and garlicky. They stayed pretty warm while I finished my burger. I would recommend shaking the bag a little since a lot of garlic will sink to the bottom. It is a little more expensive than the other places I have been, but I will pay the extra for the convenience of actually having the place be in town. I would give the fries a 5/5.
There is also a pretty good selection of sodas, bottled and canned, that were nice and cold. There are a few special cream soda, and I definitely want to try it time.
I also enjoyed the buzzer they give you to tell you when your food is done. Typically, I would have to wait by the cart then grab my food and balance it with my stuff to my spot. This allowed me to find and put my stuff where I wanted to eat while I waited because I didn't have to worry about going too far away not hearing my name being called.
Overall, I think I definitely will come back. I want to give the burger one more shot before I decide if it is not for me. I really like the fries and can see myself nibbling on some walking home. I haven't tried the philly yet, and I'm curious about it as I have hesrd good things but have never tried a Philly before outside a frozen one I bought from Center Market once. I have heard good things. Overall, a 4/5 place for me ran by really nice people with great service, and the things I personally didn't like night be someone else's cup of tea. Definitely give it a try at least once to see whether it's fits your own...
Read moreI came to East on West today to enjoy a wonderful local smash burger. I had arrived at the location and placed my order for a double burger because I was feeling hungry. I had paid for my order and left a $2 tip. I waited for my food and picked it up with hungry joy.........but sadly I was disappointed. To explain: The burger in question was burt on one side thankfully it was so paper thin that it got cooked on the other side I hope. Onion was raw with the paper like skin. Don't you know how to cut an onion? As I came back to the stand to ask for a trash can and let the "smash burger" people know I was not satisfied then they told me the trashcan is on the outside of the lot and with foul language I was told to never come back again. Hopefully you treat others customers with respect. Also I would be nice if your company practices safe kitchen habits like cleaning, cooking food that is edible,or simply washing your hands.
Thank you for your time
P.s. hopefully I don't get...
Read moreI used to live in Netarts last summer and would come here every week to get the garlic fries. I'm a vegetarian, and didn't think to ask if they could make something vegetarian. To make it even harder, I am gluten free. So today I was visiting Tillamook and was thrilled to see they had a food truck. They put together a veggie sensation with mozzarella and some seasoning that was out_ of_this_world! And yes, it was on an all grain gluten free bun. Whenever I write my reviews, I mention service the most. This place went above and beyond providing a service by concocting a fabulous sandwich out of thin air, and that's why they have a business that has withstood the unfortunate need to relocate. Thanks guys...
