I purchased tickets to FROZEN show for April 17th, 2024 by credit card back in December 2023. I received a text in March of 2024 that the show had been cancelled. I tried to verify this information by calling the box office of the Stranahan Theater where I had purchased the tickets. I tried repeated times on different days, when the box office was open to get information about the cancelled show and to inquire about a refund due. No person ever answered the phone. I decided today, that I would have to go to the box offfice in person to see if I could get a refund. When I arrived, the employee at the ticket window stated that my refund was already in process and that my refund was issued back to my credit card on 3/22/24 but that it would take 2-10 business days to be returned to the card. This news was great, (although it was not refunded to my card as of yet when I checked in front of her) but why did I have to drive 20 miles, one way, to get this answer?? Why didn’t the text inform me of the process that I could assume would take place. Why was there no answer at the box office every time I called during business hours? I don’t feel that I should have to go to the box office in person to get the information that my refund was already in process. This is wrong and a waste of my valuable time. The employee states that they only have 2 people in the box office. They let the phone ring when they are busy with other calls. I responded that I realize this is not her fault but that I would like to talk to her manager. The management should be aware of how this lack of communication regarding canceled show tickets/refund has created an inconvenience to their customers and that phones not being answered also affects their ticket sale business. There should be an answering cue to handle their incoming calls so that the customer knows that they will eventually be waited on. There should be a post on the internet of their ticket refund policy and/or an option in their answering cue to hear the information. The text that was sent regarding the cancelation should have included the information of how refunds would be handled. The employee stated that she “was the manager” and there was nothing she could do as DISNEY is very strict about what they can and can not say because DISNEY does not want to look bad. This answer is also NOT acceptable as DISNEY is not responsible for their ticket office phone system or refund policy. I think the Stranahan Theater could definitely do better. The Manager did not even offer an apology when I told her how far I had to drive to learn the answer to my refund question and that it was a very big inconvenience to have to repeatedly call and then come to the box office in person to learn the answer to a very simple question. Her response: Did you call today? She then proceeds to tell me that she has to drive 20 minutes to get there herself! And somehow… that makes everything ok?? For this reason the Stranahan Theater gets a 2 in my book. The only reason they are getting a 2 is because the refund is in process. However, their LACK of communication about the refund is totally unacceptable. There is a total lack of consideration for their customer in this instance. This process needs...

I have been coming to The Stranahan for year's and have seen countless shows performed here. The venue is always clean and comfortable. I have seen shows from both the front row and the very back of the balcony, and I could hear and see everything fairly well regardless of where I was sitting. The only issue I ever have is getting out of the parking lot. There is one road alllll the way to the left (if facing Heatherdowns) that has a light. This is the ideal way to go if trying to turn left, as you will need to cross several lanes of traffic to do so. Not many take this path and instead choose to had en masse for the main entance and far right entrance. This causes huge backups to the point where I have to leave right as the show wraps up its final number so I can get a head start while the cast takes their bows. And that is really the only recommendation I have. Unless you don't mind waiting in line for a half hour trying to leave the parking lot, leave a little early and take the road with the light if you want to turn left. Your fellow theatergoers will appreciate you not holding up the line to turn left across three...

I recently visited the Stranahan Theater & Great Hall to watch Star Wars with the orchestra, and it was an incredible experience! The movie theater itself was comfortable and well-suited for the event. However, be prepared for steep prices at the concession stand - $9 for a glass of wine was a bit shocking! Additionally, the lobby area is somewhat small considering the venue's capacity, which made it feel a bit cramped during intermission. Another thing to note is that the parking lot is self-park and unmanned, so be prepared to be organized and courteous to your fellow patrons - it's up to us civilians to keep things running smoothly! Despite these minor drawbacks, the event itself was fantastic! The orchestra's performance perfectly complemented the movie, making for a truly immersive experience. Overall, I highly recommend the Stranahan Theater & Great Hall for special events like this - just be prepared for the prices, a cozy lobby, and a DIY...
