Shivers Ice Cream — Restaurant in Toledo

Stopped by today this was my second time here ever. first time was smooth sailing this time not so much ordered 2large shakes one was chocolate and one was a vanilla malt and then I also purchased a vanilla ice cream cone chocolate dipped. There was a young guy and girl working.. There was 1 group that had already been served so at the time of me ordering it was just me a few minutes later another group arrived. Anyways the vanilla malt in fact didn’t have any malt in it. We didn’t realize cuz I bought them to have for desert so I didn’t try them until after dinner. Secondly the girl tried to give me a cone with chocolate ice cream. I was given the milkshakes first and then I waited for my ice cream cone they started serving the people that came after me and I had to tell the guy I still hadn’t gotten it. Took way too long and I even tipped now I regret tipping cuz the service was not great and they messed up the ice cream. Wanted to like this place but today was a hassle for the 3 items I spent almost $15 bucks for subpar quality and service. I am a regular that lives nearby. Ordered a lot or icecreams including a banana split for my daughter. The one icecream I had to return to windows because they didn't put the wip cream and nut on that I ordered. When I sat down my daughter was digging through her banana split and said there is no banana. I said "no way" and looked through it and it was just a messy pile of icecream in a boat. So I went back in line with the icecream with my daughter. Once I got to the window I showed her the boat and said my daughter was digging through her boat and turns out there is no banana in there. She said I can give you a banana. I said well this is just a mess of melted icecream I will need a new one. She looks at me and my daughter and says I am sorry I would have to charge you for a new one. I said ok and she gave me a bad banana. My daughter was trying to hold back her tears throwing banana and icecream away. I felt bad for her so I took her to penguin palace on river road. Ice cream is great. Prices a bit high. And yes bring cash they charge more for using a card. Sorry but cash is cash people pay for the product and you charge more I think is foolish just me. Service today was slow for having 4 people working. Penguin palace and nettys do not charge the consumer for the credit card processing. Go back to cash only. But you as the provider chose to expand your market to allow for credit cards that is your choice the consumer should not have to pay for that service you should if you offer it. As far a prices go your chili dogs are way overpriced and not nearly as good as nettys. $2.95 plus additional $0.50 for chili. As far as customer service go please work on upcharging. Would you like to make that a large today for $0.25 more. Would you like to add sprinkles etc. Have a daily special 2 hot dogs, a bag of chips, and a soda for $7. Tuesdays $2 walking tacos.
