Not my favorite H.E.B i have not liked the store setup since i first walked into this one years ago, and rarely do i sver go here unless it is just necessary. Items are just not well thought out and i always find myself running from one side of the store to the next, moreso than other H.E.B stores. I do understand they set them up for customers to do this so they will see more and buy more but something about this store setup wastes so much space. The meat and bakery are always by one another in most every store i have been in but this bakery and wine section are setup in the center of the store attached essentially to the bathrooms which are directly on the other side. I love the homemade tortillas from the bakery they are my guilty pleasure yet i had to visit this H.E.B twice in a week and did not see them. They either do not make them or in the rush to get out which i circled and bounced around the store both times not seeing them.
This store is not open and inviting it is always overbusy and crowded, i cannot relax to shop, again i do not go to this one unless i happen to be in Tomball and need to. I feel claustrophobic in this store they lack items that i love at my favorite H.E.B stores.
Everything here feels like it was shoved in a corner to make work and it does not really work. But i can say the customer service checkout woman and bagger gentleman were nice and the bakery woman and i shot genuine warm smiles at one another so there is definitely some of that going around which helps.
Overall go if you have to but i choose 1488 H.E.B and before that my H.E.B was the further one in magnolia from where they built the new one. But i still love the old one the floorplan was an open floorplan as is the new one and the plant selection at the original magnolia location cannot be beat for a grocery store and i miss that. I wish more heb stores sold trees and more fruits and veg, i would be spending so much more at...
Read moreThis is by far the worst shopping experience I've ever encountered in my whole life. The store manager (I noticed right as I was done shopping) was following myself and my two small children through the store and was acting like he was shopping. Treating it like I was doing something wrong. Well as I'm going to the registers to purchase my items I'm greeted w him and 3 officers (police) one of which paid for my items (the officer) and they walked me out along w my small children and the manager stated I was placing items in random spots in the store where they didn't belong (didn't know that was a crime) So I admit guilty for that bc I had checked my wallet and was missing the cash I thought I had in my purse. So yes I placed a few items back at random bc I couldn't afford them. However I had no idea that was a crime. I was banned from my neighborhood HEB by this manager and I unfortunately had an outstanding warrant I was unaware of and was hauled off to jail after I had my husband come pick up our children. The officers were kind enough to not hand cuff me in front of my children and kindly waited til their father came to get them and our car. Moral to the story "put things back where you found them" AND SCREW YOU TOMBALL TEXAS HEB bc you lost a once upon a time long loyal customer and more bc my family and friends are aware of your uncalled for phone calls to the authorities. They've got more important things to do than be called out for someone miss placing...
Read moreI would like to say Thank You to the Manager, Kathy. My daughter went shopping on the 29th of May at this location in Tomball. The morning of the 30th she got up to pay some bills, couldn't find her wallet. My daughter swore she had her wallet in the house..I took a chance, called HEB, they said they didn't have the wallet. I called back asked for store manager and Kathy answered. I explained that my daughter may have left wallet in basket, asked her to review the video because she had my credit and debit cards in her wallet as well as hers and explained she also had a money order in the wallet for the apartment she is supposed to move in on the 1st of June.. Kathy went above and beyond to review the recorded video to create the timeline of my daughters visit & in the end was able to see that an employee got her wallet out of the cart in the parking lot and had turned it in, but not in the normal spot it would typically be turned in at. Kathy called to let us know she located the wallet.. nothing was missing and I was thankful because if she hadn't done that it would have been assumed the wallet was missing or stolen and my daughter and her 5 kids would have been left homeless on the 1st.. most places wouldn't have gone through the hassle & would refer you to law enforcement.. Kathy cared & went way above for her customer.. Thank you Kathy, you showed true compassion for your customer. Thanks,...
