I took my 3 kids to Bonkers for a fun morning last week - it was my first time getting all 3 kids out of the house since having a baby 6 weeks prior. My older two kids have loved Up and Away in Lawrence so I thought the play maze looked similar and that it’d be so fun for them and bonus that it’s in Topeka and I don’t need to drive to Lawrence - I was wrong. Both of my children had feet get stuck because the webbing of the play place had multiple broken spots throughout. There were also multiple duct taped spots. My oldest could get her foot out herself, but my second child climbed to the top and her whole right leg went through a hole. She was crying so hard and there were no workers anywhere. (They were all in the front office.) My baby also decided that was when she needed to be fed so my 3 year old and baby are crying while I have to climb to the top of this maze to get the 3 year old unstuck. As a side note, the arcade games are all at a high volume for their music and the lights are super bright - Dave and busters isn’t so overstimulating.
I gave them 2 stars because they did give me my money back, although I think I’m being generous since never did an employee apologize for what happened or check to see if my daughter was okay. They also did not mention that they would...

The price was fair, the facility was clean, and I had a decent experience with the staff who took our payment and cashed our tickets in. However the atmosphere was very poor. The staff was very inattentive to the 10 teenage children shoving and fighting throughout the entire place. My 4 year old daughter was shoved by a child my size because no one interfered. At one point these children were walking on table tops. I understand the parents are responsible for their children but as a place that manages hundreds of children there definitely could have been better enforcement of the rules. We packed up and left earlier than planned because it wasn't a very safe environment for all 4 of my children.
We stopped and had food and will most likely eat before or after our next trip if there is one. It took 45 minutes to get our food and half of it was cold. I ordered a salad add chicken and didn't eat more than a third of it. Jalapenos in a salad under the hardest chicken I have ever eaten. For spending 70 dollars I could have eaten cheaper elsewhere and...
Read moreThis is such a great place to come with your kids of all ages. They have a large indoor play/ climbing area that is netted and has slides. They have arcade games and even a build a bear workshop. They staff was very friendly and looked like they were working hard.
I know kids play areas are typically dirty, but I had to climb in there and help my kiddo out, and there was a large abundance of dust that could not be good for breathing in. I wonder what rules are for places like this. I get it you can't get to certain areas, but many places leave spits they can get in and clean.
Otherwise, the place was great. They even had snacks and foods. The price was great too. It was $8 for a child 2 and over, and adults get bands for free with the purchase of a child band.
We had a blast here, and they won tons of tickets. We loved all the choices they could get with the...
