Taco Villa — Restaurant in Topeka

Poor Service and salad was absolutely awful . I ordered the Taco Salad, it said Turkey so I assumed it is shredded Turkey - but it came with cubbed Deli Turkey! Imagine eating Deli Turkey meat with sour cream, taco sauce and guacamole! LOL gross - I literally went up there with my full salad that my husband just brought me and told them I thought it would be shredded Turkey - like Mexican restaurants have - she said I can buy a whole new $7.50 salad LOL - so I asked her to swap it for meat, or at least give me a portion of meat or shredded Turkey instead - both managers were rude and just said no.

No personal service, no smile, just unrefined negative unhappy service. They said “It’s like a COBB salad” LOL - well it doesn’t say COBB salad, it says Taco salad with Turkey and Mexican taco shops normally have shredded meat.

Always friendly staff member, nice young man, at register, when placing order. Prices haven't sky rocketed, like other restaurants. However, size of items offered has shrunk in last 2 years, except the tortilla salad bowl itself is the same size, big the makings of holds has, less beef & tomatoes, more lettuce, black olives & beans, way too much. Yes, items are fresh, freshly cooked-? Unknown. Ground beef should not be black, meaning it's sitting too long after making. That's not all sauce turning it black. Prices have gone up everywhere, but, dj g let that be the reason you're shortening amounts of realness, BEEF, and the reason people come back. Local Ma & Pa restaurants NEED TO GO BACK TO WHAT MADE THEM POPULAR. Real good food and plenty of it for the price. Visiting with a friend over the weekend and had the pleasure of dinning at this gem. Our friend warned us that it's definitely white boy tacos but rest assured it was still fire. It was like walking into another time, very 70's. First thought was this could be really bad, but it also could be really great. After seeing how busy it was I was more excited than nervous to try this joint out and the prices?! One of the first things I noticed and could not believe was how affordable everything was. Decision over load! Luckily we had plenty of time to look over all the options and made some decisions on what was about to go down.
