First Impressions & Check-in Easy to find and navigate to, with ample parking (including a good number of ADA spaces). Grand entrance that sets the tone for a well-maintained and stylish stay. Friendly and efficient staff – check-in was a breeze. A $100 deposit is required for incidentals, so be prepared. Fast and clean elevators – always a good sign! Room & Amenities Spacious and stylish: We lucked out with a corner room featuring a balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows that bathed the space in natural light. Thoughtful design: Earth-toned walls and subtle artwork gave the hallways and rooms a cozy yet elegant feel. Entertainment: The room came equipped with a decent-sized TV connected to DirecTV, offering plenty of channels. Refreshments: A table with two bottled waters, plus tea and coffee pods neatly stored in the drawers. Plenty of storage: An abundance of drawers and a spacious closet make long stays more convenient. The Highlight – The Japanese-Style Bathroom Deep soaking tub perfect for a relaxing bath. Japanese-style shower area with a stool, replicating an authentic Japanese bathing experience. Bidet toilet with heated seat – luxury meets practicality. Well-stocked toiletries – though a list of available extras (like shaving cream) would have been helpful. Full-length mirror at the entrance – an appreciated addition for getting ready. Fitness Center A solid selection of equipment, including treadmills and pulley machines. Well-maintained machines with towels available for workouts. Two TVs (though they weren’t turned on during our visit). A giant wall mirror – perfect for checking form during workouts. Yoga mats available for a more relaxed exercise session. Convenience Store Located on the first floor and accessible 24/7 with your hotel key. Stocked with snacks, ice creams, and toiletries for anything you may have forgotten. Self-checkout system makes the process quick and easy. Exploring the Hotel The conference rooms looked spacious and well-maintained. The lobby features a restaurant with happy hour, which we wanted to check out but were too exhausted after check-in. A spa room is available, and they even provide a discount coupon upon check-in. Another feature we would love to review in the future! Sleep Quality & Comfort Medium-firm bed with a luxurious feel. Fluffy pillows and clean bedding. Relaxing room lighting that created a calming ambiance. One small drawback: The sheer curtains had noticeable dirt at the bottom. Check-out at noon – a great perk! No rush, allowing us to wake up, enjoy the morning, and take our time. Final Thoughts The Miyako Hybrid Hotel truly offers a unique blend of Japanese-style comfort with modern hotel amenities. From the impeccable bathroom experience to spacious and well-lit rooms, it’s an excellent choice for those seeking a mix of luxury and practicality. Would we stay again? Absolutely. The only wish? That more hotels adopted the Japanese-style bathtubs and amenities – because once you experience it, you’ll never want to go back! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.4/5) Would love to try out the spa next time and explore more of the restaurant offerings. Until then, this was a fantastic stay!

This is a gem of a hotel located near Torrance with its own parking lot and extended lot for events. The entrance is quite striking with blossom trees and very well kept entrance in keeping with the Japanese style. The lobby sports a simple entrance with hotel lobby and check-in on the right and the Japanese restaurant directly opposite the entrance. There is a stunning fire built into the wall between the lobby and the bar in the restaurant also. Rooms are a good sized and very well equipped. King size bed is very comfortable and the room has a good tv with many channels to keep everyone happy. Each room has a balcony with full height windows that can slide open to allow fresh air to enter. There is a safe and a jewelry store and the room also comes equipped with tea and coffee and a coffee machine along with an iHome music player. A working table with plugs for notebook and computer connectivity adjoins the window area making for a relaxing place to work. The bathroom is well equipped with a toilet and bidet and a deep Japanese style bath for relaxing and a wet room shower. AVeda shampoo and conditioners and bath salts are provided and available on request. The hotel prides itself on its covid policy with each room being cleaned to a very high standard which gives confidence to guests. Staying here is nice, it’s quiet so easy to work or relax. There are antibacterial dispensers located in the elevators and a snack bar downstairs along with an ATM. I highly recommend this hotel. Great service, wonderful staff, super clean and totally in keeping with Japanese style with an awesome on-site Japanese restaurant on the ground floor.

My stay at Miyako was a mixed experience, marked by delightful culinary offerings and a convenient location, marred by a disappointing room assignment. Nestled in a quaint area, the hotel exudes charm and coziness, making it an appealing choice for travelers seeking a relaxing getaway. The food at Miyako surpassed my expectations, with each dish bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. Additionally, the hotel's prime location made exploring the surrounding area a breeze, with various attractions and amenities within easy reach. However, my enthusiasm waned upon discovering that our room overlooked a collection of unsightly dumpsters. Given that it was February and the off-season, I had hoped for a better view, especially considering the hotel's low occupancy during this time. It was disheartening to be greeted by such an unpleasant sight each time I looked out the window, detracting from the overall enjoyment of my stay. While I appreciated the other aspects of my experience at Miyako, the disappointing room assignment left a lasting impression. I hope the management considers room assignments more thoughtfully, especially during quieter periods, to ensure that every guest enjoys a pleasant and comfortable stay. In summary, [Hotel Name] offers a charming ambiance, delectable cuisine, and a convenient location, but improvements are needed in room assignments to provide a truly memorable experience for all guests.

Overall rating is 4 stars. To start: Parking is free, and there is plenty of it! You can expect to get parking pretty close to the entrance if you - A. Have an electric vehicle or fuel efficient vehicle(pretty much guaranteed) and B. Aren't out late like we were. We didn't find it unconventional to park in the lot across the street, though, because the area is very safe and quiet. The hotel itself is safe, nice, and neat. It's the best way to explain it. Nothing unique (except the restauraunt) per say but nothing to complain about appearance nor staff wise. Everyone is polite, very polite. Elevator use requires a room key tap first, then floor selection. The entrance is locked after 9pm and requires your room key to enter on the right side of the entrance. Room is a good size and offers the standard items minus a microwave. AC was a bit confusing at first. You need to make sure you leave a room key in the key slot by the door to keep the power on in the room. Then, press the power button on the thermostat. It will illuminate red showing it's on. Furthermore, bathrooms are EXCEPTIONAL. It's very Japanese inspired. the bidet is phenomenal and the bath/shower combo is massive and overall relaxing. The bathroom lighting is awful for those use to doing makeup in good lighting. The room has great natural light during the day, so make sure you have a mirror handy if you require "good" lighting to do your face correctly. Furthermore the balcony is great but we had a room on the 6th floor above where the ACs are. If you can, I'd request a room on the opposite side of the ACs it's EXTRENELY LOUD otherwise, and being on the balcony isn't enjoyable. We didn't try the restaurant, nor spa, so there is no comment there. The fitness room was closed... unfortunately, I was looking forward to maintaining my fitness routine and was sad to see the notice on the TV. Housekeeping was the least spectacular overall. Did not throw trash and did not replace any towels. Also threw away my exfoliator brush for my face. Like ????? I literally had it in a ziplock bag, so it didn't leave a water residue on the counter. The beds were okay. My husband slept like a baby. I HOWEVER thought the beds were tough and the pillows provided were either too stiff or too soft. This may be a perosnal preference as our bed at home is Memory Foam. However, I'd recommend bringing your own...

The most important function of a good hotel is to enable a good night’s sleep in a clean and comfortable environment. During our four night stay, the hotel was perfectly quiet. The bed was comfortable. We were not awakened even once by external noises. ||||Our room was immaculately clean. The maid came each day and had our room back in order before noon.||||We stayed in room 636. It had all the amenities we want from a hotel room. It had a refrigerator, a safe, a large TV, plenty of drawer space, and two comfortable beds.||||The bathroom had a separate tub, walk in shower, toilet area and sink. This is the largest functional bathroom area of any hotel room that we have seen.||||The hotel is a green facility. It is off the electric grid, with all power generated from solar panels on the roof.||||The front desk staff is very efficient, with check in taking about a minute and contactless express check out available. ||||When we needed help with luggage, a staff person was available. When we needed an item we forgot to bring from home, a staff member brought the item to our room quickly.||||The hotel has a first class Japanese restaurant on the premises known as Ise Shima. It was open for three meal times. Room service is available. We visited for the breakfast buffet, which featured numerous healthy items for a traditional Japanese or American breakfast. We had a perfect experience in the restaurant, too.||||For the cost of the room, the entire experience is a great value. One can obviously see the great pride the staff has in delivering a perfect hotel experience.||||The hotel has free parking out front and security at the entrance. A guest cannot take the elevator above the first floor without a room key.||||The Wi-Fi was free and easy to access. It worked well. A public computer is available on the first floor. A small store also exists, accessible only with a room key.||||The hotel location is ideal for business or tourists. It is centrally located in the South Bay withi minutes of freeways I-405, I-110, and Route 91. LAX is about 20-25 minutes, downtown LA is less than 30 minutes, Redondo Beach is ten minutes, and Disneyland or Knott’s Berry Farm is about a 45 minute drive. We use the hotel as a base for visit of all attractions in...
