Alexandria Bay Park Beach — Attraction in Town of Alexandria

The beach itself is nice, but wasn't happy with the lifeguard situation. One spent most of their time on their phone and barely any supervision if the water, and both did absolutely nothing to help with the chaos going on around them(tons of horseplay, fighting, cussing, throwing things, taking actual whole bikes into the beach, etc).one lifeguard was there almost 3 hours with zero breaks, another about 2 hours with zero breaks. Park is along the river with great views of the shipping channel, passing boats, boldt castle and some of the islands. A nice pavilion to take cover if incase it rains. Great play ground for kids. Small swimming area that is roped off. Walk across the small bridge to a nice sitting area on a little island. Fishing from the island is allowed. Rating this place any less than 5 stars is criminal. This place is a real treasure with coin shops. Not to forget the daily boat tours of the castle's and Mansions of a thousand Islands. You're a fool if you don't put this place on your list to visit. There are more then enough motels and cottages to choose from.
