I went here last night and I had a horrible experience that I would not wish upon no one. I went here with my friends and the night started off Good. I opened up my tab downstairs and ordered a few drinks and then I went upstairs. when I got upstairs, I tried to order a drink, but I could not because my tab was open downstairs, so I went back downstairs to get my card and then I went back upstairs to order my drink. The Caucasian bartender, the girl was looking at me funny. because a gentleman beside me offered to buy me a drink when I got upstairs. a few hours past and I went back to go to the bar to get another drink and someone offered to buy my drink and the bartender whispered under her breath and called me the N-word. When she called me this I said that girl has had it out for me all night and immediately she told the security to throw me out of the club. Later people saw what had happened and they was like why did you get thrown out of the club? You wasn’t doing anything wrong. and I told them that that Caucasian girl threw me out of the club because she was being racist and she didn’t like the fact that ppl were buying me drinks. the cacasion bartender girl upstairs was very unprofessional very disrespectful and the girl had it out for me all day. Then she lied and said I didn’t pay my tab lol. Girl you work at a bar lol. And I left a 3 dollar tip that I’m requesting to have back :) and the men don’t have a backbone they just do whatever the girl bartender says lol. Anyways not a nice club I expected more professionalism from a place called...
Read more3 bartenders on and not one leaves behind the bar to clear tables or take orders. Your on your own. Peanuts are nice add but ya have to go ask for them on your own. "Live Music" at 9 but not really at 9. They start setting up at 9 and start 40 minutes late. They don't serve food they offer it from next door was told same owner. Food order was wrong received 6 forks and 4 knives for 2 hoagies with potato chips and ZERO napkins. Asked the kid with his arms crossed doing nothing behind the bar if I could trouble him for some napkins and a beer refill. Didnt want to put him out or anything. The other bartender was busy chatting with I'm guessing his friends.
The owner has HUGE money making potential here but desperately needs to manage better and make more customer service friendly after he finds the service.
Food order was also wrong. Didn't receive my hoagie as I requested and they call it a PHILLY cheese steak, stop doing that. Visit PHILLY go to Ginos or Jims and see what it's supposed to be. Call your simply a cheese steak.
There is a bouncer he was the nicest employee we met, maybe he was just a greeter. Anyway they really need a bus boy so u dont need to clear the table yourself of someone else's garbage when u arrive and your own too if you would be so kind when leaving.
Quite disappointed overall only thing positive I could say is it looks good and it appears to be a nice town. Harness the true potential of what u have here or give it up. Never saw such a poorly run place in my 46 years...
Read moreEver since the new owner took over, , things have gone downhill. We have been coming to Skiffs for 14 years and as Canadians, we spent hundreds of $ there each year but we will no longer be back. They accepted Canadian $ but no longer - this is not cool to exclude a big part of your clientele…the staff ignored us the last time we went in, the music was too loud- we could not hear ourselves, so we spoke louder, then the music got turned up, then we spoke louder again and so on… the young male bartender couldn’t make a Bloody Mary, the prices are too high now, the staff don’t clean and check the bathrooms… we mentioned 3x there was no paper towels in the mens bathroom and still the staff just talked to each other…. We have found another spot nearby that sells beer for a much better price, has a great atmosphere and an awesome patio.
We will definitely be sharing this information with our friends and we will not be back to Skiffs- too much has changed, and not...
