Dockside Pub — Restaurant in Town of Alexandria

Been going here for years. Maybe twenty? This is hands-down my grandma's favorite restaurant, and she's been all around the country many times.

Their Reubens are fabulous, as are their taco salads. And Shirley temples and martinis.

The food is great, the service is great, and the people are great.

It may not have the view that other places in the area have, but there is no better place if you want good food in a good environment.

Bear in mind that I've only been here for lunches, though i've been dozens and dozens and dozens of times.

Seriously, my grandma and I pretty regularly talk about how much we miss Dockside, being in Arizona.

There is one downside, though: it's not accessible in any way. Even using a cane would be quite a struggle in there. But there's a couple steps up, and it's crowded enough that mobility aids really are not feasible except...

After visiting for the first time, I will unfortunately not be returning. The wait staff was forgetful and not attentive. After waiting for our food order for almost an hour, the waitress returned and asked what we ordered only to realize she forgot to enter our order. Almost another 30 minutes later, we received our food. During that time our cocktail glasses sat empty without anyone asking if we would like a refill (granted they were busy). Our burgers were over cooked and dry (we ordered them medium well), they forgot the gravy for my fries and my kids buffalo chicken flatbread didn't appear to be or taste like buffalo chicken at all. We were very disappointed with the food here. After a long day out Exploring the area we got back into town late and many restaurants were closing. We opted for carry out at this restaurant and ordered a salad and appetizer platter both of which were small portions and low quality food. With the appetizer platter it includes boneless wings (we got 2 and they were small and consisted mostly of breading and little meat) and only 2 bone in wings. The atmosphere in the bar looked cute and the servers provided decent service when we went into pick up the food however low rating due to poor quality food, very small portions and high pricing.
