Korner Pizzeria & Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Alexandria

Had an absolute horrible time there. My family and I had been traveling and we stopped at 1000 islands as we heard amazing things about this small town. After some exploring we decided to have lunch and settled down at this restaurant as I saw decent reviews. However, I will never return as the service was horrible. I wish I had gotten the name of the boy behind the counter maybe in his late teens, early 20s had the worst attitude ever. I understand that it was July 4th and there was a lunch rush, but it’s foolish for the restaurant to expect the boy to handle the register, the phone and pick up orders. Instead they might as well employee others temporarily since it gets so busy.

Regardless the boy was absolutely difficult to talk to while making the order and receiving it. When I was making the order, he was trying to rush me and while I was still making my payment he was already onto the next customer. He didn’t even give me my coke cup, however I wasn’t too bothered, understanding his position. So I decided to meet up with the rest of my family outside and chill out for the 30 minutes I was told to wait for. I returned 30 minutes and waited for him to finish with a customer and asked for my pizza and he practically shoved it in my arms and moved on, however I stopped him to remind him about my soda and fries. Ignoring me he worked on two other customers, while I was standing by the counter waiting for him to give me the rest of my food as it didn’t make sense for me to keep on going back and forth for my entire order. I ended up walking out and my father went inside only to come out 10 minutes later with the soda and fries. By the time we started on the pizza it was lukewarm and my father returned inside for some ketchup for the fries. I was absolutely appalled when he returned and said the boy chucked it at them. My fiancé and I ordered dinner last night, I got a blue moon burger with extra blue cheese when I got about 2-3 bites in the burger and it was completely raw. My fiancé got a Buffalo chicken wrap and asked for a tomato basil wrap and got a plain. I then called and explained to girl what was wrong and she took down my name and said I could call anytime and they would remake them. I called this afternoon to have it remade and the lady that answered said hold on a minute and when and got the lady that made my food the night before. I began to explain to her what was wrong with the food and was rudely interrupted twice to her tell me, “ I remember make the wrap and I know I made it wrong and I will remake it, but for the burger I put the thermometer in and it read 160 degrees and that mean well done”. I then said I’m not lying I have pictures of the burger to prove it, she then said I can’t except pictures as proof cause idk if you made another burger and replaced it. My family has been coming to 1000 islands to camp every year since before I was born in the 90s. I don’t know how it started but Korners Pizzeria has become a tradition, it used to be another pizzeria but we decided we like Korners pizza better. It’s not the greatest pizza in the world but I’m very very picky about pizza and I really like it here, and I enjoy the comfort of coming here every year to have a break from camping food to have some good pizza! Also the people are nice and the service is decent everything came at once even though we ordered mozzarella sticks and garlic knots as like an appetizer but it’s okay it happens. BUT one complaint is that the tables are really small, and it would help if the pizza was up on those tray table things so there was more table space!
